I started my liquid preop diet today and I do wonder how Im going to be able to do it. Is not so bad but my protein shake which I had to buy from my doctor for $200 which was a requirement is so nasty. Is chocolate but after like the 2nd gulp I want to throw it up. any advice would truly be appreciated. Surgery day is June 28th

Im on day 1 and Im doing jello and broth and protein drink and am going to do sugarfree ice pops

mines has 5g of fibe 27gram protein per packet and 200 calories

Sounds to me like you have a hater. If she wants to loose weight also she needs get the surgery and stop getting in your business. Don't pay her mind misery loves company. And it shouldn't matter what she thinks as long as you are happy about your decision and are feeling great

You are younger than Im. Im 26 but Im sure I want this. don't over think it. If that was your weight previous I believe you made a good decision. Your dating life will be better and everything else. Don't over stress it

Omg I hope I heal as well as you did. Im going to put effort in healing fast. I would love to take my little one to the beach this summer.

So surgery date has been set for June 28th 2016 but for those of you who have gotten surgery how long did you take to heal? would I be able to do any fun activities with my 3 year old beore the end o summer? I just feel bad that If im down long I wont be able to take him out for fun

I think is just the fact that I wont be eating anything solid at all. I know I can stick to it but living in a household were they cook everyday I feel like is going to be torture. But I know I cant mess it up

Thank You. I will def not cheat I really want this surgery Don't eat anything not on your pre-op diet - it's to shrink your liver - many feel the need to "cheat" but it's really important that you don't. Good luck.

Hello everyone Im new to this forum. I always read everyones story while I was going through the process of examinations and Now I finally decided to make an account. So after all the appointments and praying that I get approved for surgery I finally received a letter from the Insurance saying they have approved me. Im so excited but so nervous at the same time. I will soon be starting a pre-op diet which they say will consist of only liquids for 2 weeks. basically Protein shakes, No food at all. And Im nervous about that. For those of you who have already passed this phase is there any advice you can give me please.
