This has been the greatest thing for me I have tried many time to only gain it all back and more every time. I am not hungry physically, now mentally soetime you are but you cant eat so I LOVE IT. So yes I would do it again. Now you do have to work with it. I am working out with weights now and am not losing like I was now but I still think it is doing me good. banded 10/26/05 Start wt 325 goal wt 205

I was banded o October 26 '05 by Spiegel, it has been great I have lost 60 pounds so far, however havent lostany this last week feel bloated the last few days,. we have a support group on the first Thursday of every month in Port Neches at his office it is great.................. Steve.................I am in Buna folks we might have to start a group in the country......LOL

Congrats to you on the band I am a newbee also, one month out. Had my first fill today and it was trully painless......My incisions were red and looked bad to everyone I showed them to, they are getting better but my pcp and the surgeon both looked at them and said all was well every time they seen them. Well I just had my first fill Dr. said I had a 11 cc band and he put in 3 cc. I thought it was a lot, it did not hurt at all though. I do not know what to think though it feels like the fluid is having trouble going down. thanks top all of you for you words of advice, I just hope I have not messed the band up or anything like that by eating to soon, I am four weeks out and I get hungry for food. I dont really eat to much but can eat I think just about any thing I want, and I do eat to fast and it has hurt for awhile some times......I am jsut needing to try harder I think because I do not want this to mess up on me.,................thanks all Steve

If you do end up having to pay for it yourself, it is deductible on your Income tax for the year...................

If you have to pay yourself, it is covered by filing it on your income tax for the year, if it is medically nessesary

Was banded by Dr. Spiegel on Oct. 26, 2005, I was a good boy for 1 1/2 weeks, but I had to chew on some food. I did stay on the mushies however. But have been eating food. I have managed to lose 20 pounds however in the the last four weeks though, I get my first fill on November 22, 2005.............NO TURKEY FOR ME...........But it will be OK

Well I am a guy but I have IBS I think so anyway, however mine is called POST COLLIN SYSTECTEMY GALL BLADDER DUMPING SYNDROM....... This is what happens alot of times when you have your gallbladder removed, I have been banded for 3 1/2 weeks now and still have diarhea 5 to 6 times a day.

has anyone had trouble with the liquids after the surgery, I made it two weeks but I had to have food to chew on, I have not over eaten, however, and I do eat soft prepared food. I do slim fast in the morning but by dinner I need a smart one meal. My only real prob is with my meds, they really nauseate me bad. however I was banded on 10/26/05 and have lost all totaled 20 pounds............................

I was banded October 26, 2005. Our Insurance is changin over to Blue Cross Blue shield of Georgia, January 1st......I used Dr Spiegel. His office says they will convert me to a cash pay for the fills..........Any thoughts on this it is freaking me out now
