CPAP: Small Victory
I also sleep with a CPAP machine..it is difficult to get used to (its been 2 yrs)!! Sleep apnea is one of the reasons I had the gastric sleeve on 6/6/16. I am sick of being tethered to that clunky thing (yeah I know it keeps me alive while I'm sleeping).... My doc wants to wait 6 mos. before I get another sleep study done to see if I still need the machine.... That will be another BIG VSG victory for me once I'm done needing this darn CPAP!!! So glad you were able to use it again / It truly is a lifesaver (my sleep study showed I used to stop breathing approx. 150x a night), so hang in there... best of luck to you my friend! Here are my before and after pics

4 Days Post Op...Hurting a lot
The amazing thing about surgery is that once its over and you start to heal, you won't even recall how bad you're feeling right now! I know I wasn't feeling too great after VSG surgery, but for the life of me now I cannot remember what I felt back then! Kind of like childbirth, once its over and done, you won't remember the pain! Hang in there...it gets better!

I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
Picture on left is pre VSG and on right post VSG.... I hated the way I felt and looked. Got tired of all the diets, books, videos on weight loss which clearly were not working for me! VSG is NOT an easy decision or change by any stretch of the imagination (in spite of what others may think). I thank God for the opportunity to save my own life. Looking forward to living healthier and happier for the rest of my days! WOO-HOO #VSGworks

Nicotine test
They probably will check the day of surgery - my surgeon told me that in one case he has been in the operating room and found out the patient was still smoking, he cancelled the surgery immediately! Can you imagine going that far and getting to that point just to end up denied? AGH!!

Any June sleevers out there?
Day 8 post op...boy did I mess up! I'm on full liquids which include cream of chicken Soup so I also bought some cream of potato soup. Apparently there were bacon bits and other ingredients in this soup! I mushed a couple of small potato pieces in my mouth before swallowing. Holy cow!! I was in serious pain most of the evening.. I see now there is a reason they put you on full liquids for 2 weeks because your body cannot handle much else! LOL I see why they tell you to introduce one food at a time once you are able to eat regular food... Lesson learned I won't make that mistake again!!! ???? Robotic Surgery?
I was sleeved by DaVinci too...it gives the surgeon 3D views of the surgical area and assists the surgeon...kinda like having 4 arms working instead of two...I'm glad my surgeon used the robot on my sleeve ???? Sent from my LG-H811 using the BariatricPal App
