Hi, I had the lab band done 8 years ago and this past sept. Had to have it removed due to prolapse. I wanted to do GB then but my surgeon did not do it laproscopicly so I chicken out. I have a good amount of weight to lose roughly 130lbs so for me GB will be the perfect tool to help me with that. I'm pretty nervous!! I also have 2 small boys, which is the most important reason why I am doing this. I have an amazing husband which will help me reach my goal also. No early 4th celebration for this girl I figure ill have plenty to celebrate afterwards.

Hi everyone, I'm scheduled for GB July 5th!! I'm extremely nervous. My biggest fear is becoming malnutritioned as I age. what are some of you guys biggest fears? I'm so looking forward to running around with my two young boys!!

I didn't have a problem with them covering the bamd removal because it was an emergency not because I was choosing to remove it. Thank you, hoping this is a smooth process :-)

@@waterwoman, did you have a hard time with insurance approval? I had my band removed in September. Started the bypass process in January. Getting close to submitting to insurance next week or so. Hoping there's no delays :'(

I use the Fusion (strawberry shortcake) the recommend adding some fruit to it. It's pretty good! Not on my 2 week liquid pre op diet just yet so maybe I might have to illuminate the fruit. Not sure :-(

I'm at the end of my pre surgery requirements. I'm hoping to get a June date!! Couple concerns if anyone has any advise...1. I'm horrified that my hair is going to fall out :-( 2. On average how long was recovery before heading back to work? 3. Is it harder to get a approval if you had already had a weightloss surgery?

My biggest fear is losing my hair also...

I recently had my lap band taken out due to prolaspe after 8 years. I'm know at the final steps before approval. Does any know if its harder to be approved after already having a weight loss surgery?
