  1. A tsp of butter won't hurt anyone. Don't deprive yourself too much or you'll end up craving foods you can't have, which can lead to binge eating
  2. I had mine for two weeks.
  3. With liquids I don't think it matters much. Lord knows I had to wash out the nasty taste of the protein shakes with some water. Once you start on real food you shouldn't drink afterwards for an hour.
  4. I started adding soft foods on day 10. Yogurt, cottage cheese first, then wet scrambled eggs. I had no issues with any of them. Just eat them slow.
  5. mine are also chewable. I have been taking them since day one
  6. same date, and 11 days later I actually gained 1 lb. I'm sure it's normal. I'm going to increase my calorie intake and start exercising this week. I'm sure that will trigger more loss
  7. I agree... I was working out at this point and increasing my calories a bit did help. For sure Seems contrary, but it does work. The body slows down due to the lower caloric intake. You have to spark it by increasing them.
  8. Increase your food and exercise daily. The weight loss will resume
  9. drinking plenty of Water, probably 60 oz. Just a hungry day, I guess. Up until today I have been on pure liquids. Perhaps it is head hunger Thanks everyone
  10. carrots, kale and celery. All very soft and yes, I'm eating them.
  11. vegetable soup, home made. Carrots, celery, lake and some asparagus. I'm eating all of them. Might try some lentil or bean soup next
  12. Today I have been so hungry and I have eaten too much, I think So far 2 protien shakes 3 cups of soup 1/2 cup of greek yogurt with some fruit cocktail (unsweetened) I'm still hungry thoughts?
  13. Hi guys, I'm 11 days post surgery and I find that I can eat quite a bit more than I thought I'd be able to. I just started drinking some vegetable Soup today and I can put down at least 1.5 cups at one sitting. Is this too much? I am getting adequate Protein amounts from shakes and greek yogurt, but I'm concerned that I'm able to eat food at a pretty good clip. Today I have had the following: Protein shake for Breakfast Protein shake for lunch since then at least three bowls (about 1 cup) of home made vege soup 3/4 cup of greek yogurt with some canned fruit cocktail (no sugar added) I'm still hungry and I have room for more. What do you guys think?
  14. I've been sipping soups and such. Today my wife made some vegetable soup with carrots, celery and kale. It went down with no problems
  15. I like the high class hooker idea. Go for it
  16. stick with protein for now, and chew the heck out of it. I think bananas are too heavy. try cottage cheese, greek yogurt, soft veggies, etc
  17. I'm almost mirroring your results. pre-op diet weight 2/16 251, now, i'm 230. Very pleased
  18. 9 days post op and I've averaged about 1 lb/day. That seems to be the norm until the introduction of soft foods.
  19. I'm allowed decaf after one week
  20. I was sleeved 2/25 and have been feeling the same way. Like has been said, broth, water, pops and jello seem to help. I'm getting tired of the shakes. My nut says two weeks liquid, so I'm sticking to that. When I started my pre-op diet I was 251. Today I weighed 232. It is getting better as the hunger is not overwhelming as it was earlier on
  21. Awesome! So happy to hear this has worked for you!
  22. NFN, but I have little to no regard for what the FDA says is "safe". Nor do I subscribe to the NCI or their findings as gospel. Both the FDA and the NCI are loaded with politically persuasive connections. Politicians, as we know are owned by corporations. Now with that said, I believe that all things natural are better for you then their synthetic substitutes. That goes for GMO's, pesticides, herbicides, margarine and sweeteners. I won't go near them
