I was also sleeved on the 21st and I thought I was going to die lol. I asked myself what did I get into. But I had to stop and think. I didnt come all this way to give up now. The first few days its hard. But it gets better everyday. Walk alot, dont stay in bed all day. One thing that works for me and keeps me going during this healing process is the scale. Everytime I weigh myself, the numbers are going down. This motivates me to stay on track and follow my doctors orders. Try to stay hydrated and try to get some Protein in. When does it get better? I had surgery yesterday. Im having a rough time. I have terrible gas pains and I cant keep anything down. The only people that know that I will be doing VSG are my husband, my mom, dad and sister. Thankfully, my parents and sister support my decision and agree with me to keep this between us. My mom is my biggest cheerleader and she even wants me to stay with her the first week so she can help me. I'm having a hard time getting my husband on board. He doesn't understand why can't I just do it the nonsurgical way. Hopefully I get him on board by the time my surgery date approaches. At the end of the day, I have to do this for myself. I must say, if I didn't have support, I probably wouldn't have gone through with this. With that said, tell at least one person. Support is needed during this journey.
