  1. Love Premier Protein chocolate and Vanilla it's pre-made costco has 18 for 24.99. 30 grams of protein per container. 1g sugar. 160 calories. Vitamins and minerals. Quest chocolate milkshake power is really good too. I am 3 months away from surgery. I am looking for an unflavored protein source in case I don't tolerate flavors Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

  3. I think it depends on your surgeon and program. Mine is one day overnight for pain control mostly. But I've read a bunch go in the am and leave in the pm barring any complications Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

  5. I'm about 4 months into my 6mo supervised weight monitoring. First 3, I've lost. Lately I haven't been as diligent on eating so my cravings went up. Grant it I'm not eating as much now than before. so to try and help me out, I decided to try the Orange Meta for weight control to feel full. To me it tastes horrible but I drank it. I made a cup last night and didn't drink it quickly. It sat maybe 10 minutes at most. It congealed in my cup like a softer Jello. I never thought on how it actually worked. How can that be good for you? I know the bulking up is what makes it "curb your hunger by making you feel fuller longer." However I will not drink that again. It kinda freaked me out. 6. My NUT told us no gummies. Which stinks cause that's what I take now. Guess it's the added sugar in them. They recommend Flinstones....2 a day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Per my Nut and Surgeon, the gummies do not absorb as well as the chewables, melt aways and liquids. I finished out my gummies and went to what they recommended. But every program is different and has their own recommendation and thoughts of Vitamins and what not Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

  8. Take a few deep breaths and hugs to you. It's really tough to read about the bad stuff. There is always that possibility with any surgery. You need to examine what your outcome can be. What will happen if you don't make the changes? Can you loose the weight on your own? Can you stay with that weight loss program, Are you happy with your body/mind/soul at this time? Will having the surgery help with any long-term conditions? Can you commit to the after care? What will happen if you do nothing? Sit down with your mental health professional, talk about your fears, your hesitations. They can help you discover if you are ready. Think back to when you started the process, why did you want to do this? This decision is a huge step, life will change. Try not to keep reading all the bad experiences. Yes be aware that things can go sideways but its not the norm. There are many more with positive outcomes or these surgeries would not be done as much as they are. Hang in there! Find your path , find your peace. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

  13. Talked to my surgeon assistant. I need to either maintain or loose, and not drop below 35 BMI (which I know that's not going to happen) Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  14. Can you loose too much weight in the preoperative stage of supervised diet? I'm not talking dropping below the BMI of 35 or 40. I mean insurance saying well you lost 10% weight in 6 months you can do it on your own. Or is it the months of showing you can follow what the surgeon asked for? I'm reading the medical policy for Highmark BCBS G24. It was 6 months failed supervised nutritional and exercise program. Am I over thinking this? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

  18. Anybody receive an unexpected box of bariatric Vitamins? I guess my surgeon is being proactive. I received a box of vitamins from Bari Active and Nascobal. I've been doing my own regimen of a Multivitamin,& hair skin and nail Vitamin. Or the catastrophic thinking is that my health record was compromised. which is most likely not true. I can't believe I reached half way to surgery approval submission ! Down 14 lbs! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  19. Appointment #3 in the books! Down 4 more pounds for a total of 12 lost. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  20. Awe. I'm sorry to hear the change. I'm not sure how far along the process you are. My doctor said if I tested positive I'd take antibiotics for a month and be good to go. I was only in my 2 d month so I had time. I guess every doctor is different on things. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

  23. I did my psych evaluation last week. talked about how I know the risks, the major lifestyle changing event, how the body will change drastically in a short period of time, that any food addiction now will be there psychologically afterwards, talked about my support system, the long term commitment, that the surgery is only a tool and if you don't follow the doctors plan, you will fail. It was, simple and easy. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  24. That's tough.. I'd avoid the food table area. Drink Water or eat a popsicle. Not sure what your allowable food is but eat a hard boiled egg to kinda mock the texture of the potatoe?hang in there! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  25. Thanks. I'm just happy I recognize it so much better. Picnic season is harder for me than the winter holiday season. I'm trying to come up with a better plan for the next picnic in 14 days. I might just bring my own food and sit away from the food or play with the kids. I go to the ball in 7 days. It's amazing rum bar, scotch bar and tons of finger foods. I know how to avoid the bad stuff there. Although scotch and rum are my favorite drinks. Theyusually have,a great fruit and veggie spread. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
