  8. My hairloss lasted for about 10 weeks. It didn't get to the point that it was noticeable to anyone but me. I am in month 8 and am still waiting to notice it growing back. I haven't noticed it yet. I still have no regrets.

  12. So it's been a month since I posted this. My hair loss is starting to slow down a bit. I have about half of my hair left. It's not so bad that I can see my scalp, but it is incredibly noticeable to me. If I pull it into a ponytail, a hair tie would twist 4 or 5 times. thin as a pencil. The pain in the scalp (like when you have a ponytail too tight) has started to subside. At least I have that to be thankful for. I am still happy with my choice to have the surgery. Hair wil grow back.

  26. They don't help right after surgery, but being four months post-op now; everything gives me gas. They work fast and effectively. I'm glad to have a bunch in my purse when I'm in public.
  27. Thanks everyone for weighing in on this. Best of luck to everyone. Happy Easter!
  28. Also, you aren't using a straw are you. Small, tiny sips so you limit your air intake. It sounds like gas.
  29. I don't get sick or feel pain, but I used to love water. Had no problem getting my 8 cups a day. Now I can't hardly drink two cups of water and two cups of Crystal Light a day. Really, I don't like food or drinks at all. Nothing tastes good. My nutritionist said this is normal because I'm still in Ketosis (almost 4 months out). She said once I come out of it, I will start getting hungry again and things will start to taste good again. She said I'll be wishing I was back to this. Sorry for wandering off there. Anyhow, I find it difficult to drink anything as much as before.
  30. Personally, I view this process in the same regards as a recovering alcoholic or drug addict. I don't think you should date or jump into a relationship until you are at least a year removed from surgery. You change as a person and aren't even sure who you are becoming for some time. Once you learn who you are and love yourself for it and all that you have been through, then you can let someone else in and you will figure out how to respond to them as you go. Why try and predict and worry about the future when it isn't here yet? One step at a time. This surgery doesn't just change what you eat. It affects every aspect of your life. Do not take it lightly.
  31. Not immediately after surgery. Walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. Mine was very painful.

If I look miserable, it's because I am. The day before this, I stepped wrong off of a 6 inch drop and broke my left ankle and sprained my right ankle at the same time. I didn't know this yet. There was no way I was going to miss my first appointment for this weight loss program. After this appointment, I went for x-rays and got my walking cast. I will soon be posting my 1 year later photo. At one year I will be 4 months post surgery.
  34. Not at first. It just started for me, but it's enough that you will notice right away. You will be picking hair off of your clothes all day long. You'll notice your brush, you'll notice when you wash your hair. I just wanted to know how long it lasts, because at this rate over a long period of time, it could be a real issue.
  35. God I hope so!!
