All these different doctors so many different ways when I was staving for 2 weeks before surgery and I was getting mad reading when people said they could have vegetables if I could have had I would have been fine lol I wish all doctors follow the same guidelines it would make it easer to talk to other.   2. I am a substitute teacher so I sch my surgery during the summer however I am 12 days post op and feeling much better. You should give yourself a full week I did have a lot of pain but it got better around the 6 th day. Best of luck Sent from my iPhone

  4. Hi I am 12 days post-op when I started the liquid diet for 2 weeks before surgery when I would wash my hair and brush it I was losing a lot my hair brush would be full of hair. Now since surgery it is still bad but not as bad I am taking lots of Vitamins from GNC to help I also went to Sally and got hair products for thinking hair extra condition for my hair. I am with you i love my hair I very long hair and I don't want it to keep coming out. Best of luck to you Sent from my iPhone

  7. I am 10 days post - op and my doc is requiring me to crush all my meds for 3 months and it is the worse because I have to take a lot of meds I hate it they taste so nasty Sent from my iPhone
  8. I am using GNC women Vitamin it tastes like berry fruit and the calcium is Carmel they taste Great and if u buy them and don't like u can return them Sent from my iPhone
  9. Congrats best of luck I don't want to scare you but everyone is different I am 9 day post op and no one told me how painful recovery would be. I was in severe pain the first 5 days walking helped me the gas pain are awful and learning how to drink is painful but know it all will pass and them you will feel much better I just wish someone one had told me what to expect.   10. The first few days she said get at least 30 oz but work up to 64 oz it's just so hard my stomach hurts feels so full after couple sips as of today I have got about 45 in water and about 8 oz Protein so I have done good today. Sent from my iPhone

  12. I promise you I will go back if I am not feeling better today they did draw blood and if it comes back not normal I told the doc I would come back. I had both my girls with me and did not want to have to be there for hrs also after I came home and I started pushing fluids every 15 minutes and I did get in over 64 for the first time. I feel better today I have already got in 30 oz by 11:00 I also was able to eat a little broth first time also. Sent from my iPhone

Well I am 9 days post-op yesterday I went to mu FP doctor thought I may have a kidney Infection I was having a lot of issues and she told me I was super dehydrated they wanted to give me Iv Fluid but I refused them I am still swollen of all the fluid they gave me in the hospital the scale has not moved yet it's so depressing. Question is how much fluid is everyone getting in to not be dehydrated I started putting a Water bottle on my night stand to drink during the night to help. Sent from my iPhone
  14. U can't have surgery you will not get enough nutrition to feed yourself and surely not enough to feed a fetus u have to wait 18 after surgery to even get pregnant for the safety of a baby Sent from my iPhone

I am little upset don't know if it's normal or not but I gained 8 pounds of Water in hospital and I have lost it now but the scale is not moving it's disappointing I am ready to start losing I want to start seeing that scale go down guess I am Inpatient but I see people not losing than I see people not losing I don't feel that Great either going to doc today to see if I have a kidney infection Sent from my iPhone
  17. I am 7 days post -op and I can only get down about 30 oz Water nothing else after 2 sips of premier Protein or broth my stomach hurts taking my Vitamins is awful because I have so many pills and have to crush them and they are so nasty I feel so full after k take them Sent from my iPhone

  22. Ok today makes day 7 post-op and I am still retaining a lot of Water in my ankles and lower legs and my stomach is still swollen. Question is this normal should I be losing any thing yet I weigh more now than before surgery I know it's water but still I am ready to see the scale move down after what I have been through.   24. I am sorry you had a bad hospital stay I was lucky on that end I was at a great hospital they had special rooms for wls patients. I hope you have started feeling better now. Sent from my iPhone Yeah starting to feel better, still a small amount of pain on one incision. How you doing? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Starting to feel better to it's still really hard to drink anything I can't even drink the Protein shakes without my stomach really hurting and after couple sips of Water it hurts. My stomach is really sore doc just wants me to make sure I am siping all day so I don't get dehydrated and try to add protein next week. Sent from my iPhone
