Thanks for that. Yeah he said it looked benign as well but I can't help but worry. I don't have any symptoms of anything else

So I've almost reached my goal before gastric bypass and had to have my EGD procedure. My surgeon found a pea sized nodule in my esophagus that he says is usually a benign leiomyoma. I have to go back and see a gastroenterologist to have them biopsy it. I'm scared and nervous as hell. Anybody else had a similar issue?

I'm just starting mine as well but luckily there is no insurance weight requirement. My surgeon wants me to lose 20 lbs and then have an EGD then lose 20 more to be ready for surgery. I lost 11 lbs right away and was so close and then the holidays came and I gained it all back. At my checkup now and not excited to see what the doctor has to say about that
Edit: at my appointment today my doctor talked about a different procedure called SADI-S or single anastamosis duodenal switch. Anybody had that?

I work in the insurance industry so I kind of can help. What exactly does your benefits say related to Bariatric Services? Like some will say Bariatric Services And Related Treatment Covered etc.??
