@@Reason to Believe Hey, so I took just a couple days off since I thought a month would be way too long honestly. But everyone is different, I felt alright with walking after a week and ok to work around the same time period. Good luck with everything!!

@@roxygal1 I totally understand how you're feeling! That was my first surgery also and I regretted it entirely, but honestly 3 weeks out and it got better. Eventhough I have my partner I feel like no one would understand me unless they went through it. But don't worry I promise it gets better and it takes time, I see it like the surgery was the easy part now comes the hard part. Where I just want to eat like before and fight head hungers.

Plan ahead with your liquid diet, half of my stress came from what was I going to eat pre open and post op. And don't be afraid to ask for that pain medicine lol. I was really sore when I woke up and felt like I was going to throw up, but in time it went away. And honestly I'm still dealing with head hungers. But good luck I'll be here lol, if you have any questions. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

2 weeks post op and still hungry
Thanks guys that really helps, I notice I'll sit there craving junk food but it would help just to start doing different tasks whenever those head hungers come around. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

2 weeks post op and still hungry
I notice my head hunger has been bad lately, just want to sit and have a burger, and watching TV doesn't help either.

Thinking about a sleeve
I had the same problem and it was my appetite, I would eat a full plate of food then about an hour later and be hungry again. That's why I choose to do the sleeve because I knew it would help with my appetite and slow down my food intake. The thing about overeating is true, I feel nauseous if I try to overeat, but honestly your body will give you signs telling you you're full. Later on it does increase, but by this time you know how much to eat. And with my insurance I had to wait 6 months in order to have the surgery, which at first I didn't like but it was helpful. I got to see a nutritionist and I told her what my eating habits were and she made a diet plan that worked for me. I got to make different Protein shakes that I like and of course taste good.

Surgery 3/9 .... Two week fluid diet (3/10-3/24)
I had my surgery on the 9th too, and I feel those constant head hungers too. But I just remind myself how important my health is and it helps out a little. When I start craving something I just take a sip of my Protein shake or try to put my train of thought somewhere else. Hope this helps. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

I thought I would regret this surgery but after 6 months and seeing the results I had it was the best decision I ever made. I added a pic to share. Looking forward to hearing from you. I agree with you completely, eventhough I had always accepted my weight I would always think..How did I let myself gain this much weight. I still think that is amazing you're down 4 sizes and don't worry you do what you can. I'm also worried that in time I'll go back to my old habits and stretch out my stomach .

Yeah of course let's be buddies lol how much weight have u lost since August and over time do you notice your food intake getting larger or has it stayed the same since your sleeve? Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App- 26F in NJ
I'd really appreciate a sleeve buddy, its frustrating trying to talk to firends that have no idea what I'm going through.- Curvy girl clothing issues...HELP!
I agree old navy jeans arent that great, and Torrid ones I feel have all the wrong porpotions. I always go to Rainbow, or Deb and Ashley Stuwart for my jeans and tights. My tops i usually get them at Torrid or old navy.- Anyone from NJ
Exactly ! @@laura_rose16 and now I'm waiting for 2 more weeks to eat some tuna when I'd rather have a steak lol Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App- Anyone from NJ
@bayoublackbird wow that is insane, my pain tolerance is about as low as yours, but hopefully the pain decreases in time. I will defientely keep you in my prayers.- any sleeve buddies in NJ
Hey, so I had my sleeve done on 3/9 and I'm already regretting it, and osmehting that keeps coming into mind is..will i accept my new body? Anyone else agree?- Anyone from NJ
@ I totally understand you, I've been overweight since I was young too and it's a shame to say but I had accepted it. But I chose to this surgery cause of health reasons...I'm also worried about accepting my new body, so I'm taking one day at a time. Waiting for the day I can eat something lol . - 26F in NJ
