  1. It has been 2 months since my surgery and all of my eating habits have changed for the better. Sometimes I do slip up but my body quickly reminds me EAT HEALTHIER! My boyfriend however is eating worse and worse everyday, It is already a struggle to say no temptation and so it's even more difficult when he's eating all the foods I cannot everyday. Am I just being a brat because I can't have it and he can?

    Coffee

I'm 2 months post op and I can't have any since caffeine really upsets my stomach. I really do miss coffee though.
  3. I was on the pill for about 5 years then post op I was noticing my period was off by a week, my OBGYN told me it was because my body had gone through a shock and now it's try to recooperate. She said i lost 20% of my body weight so my body is trying to catch up with making 20% more hormones, so she suggested IUD would be best for me.
  4. @@OutsideMatchInside Post op he wanted to stop for food...I gave him the look and he just kept driving. He was upset but I explained we have to start now or else we are always going to be stuck and never lose weight. But I am noticing he is getting more upset since I keep going food shopping and I'm not buying junk food anymore.
  5. @@LipstickLady We've always tried to lose weight together, it was just me that took it a step further and actually kept up with my weight loss. I've never criticized what he ate, just ask him to eat healthy with me. I would never take the yummy food away , I just bring in the healthy food and he is upset because the chips are no longer in the house.
  6. @@Sajijoma I always tell him let's eat healthy together I promise you'll feel better! But he goes back to his old ways in no time soon, I did tell him last night though we can do this together, since I'm noticing his eating habits are getting worse and worse. He agreed and said he will actually try.
  7. @@jess9395 I agree with you, he told me he would support me and now he has completely changed. He's upset I'm losing the weight so fast.
  8. @@Valentina Thank you so much, I really appreciate all posts especially this one. Prayers and blessings your way.
  9. He was never supportive, he was against the surgery. He always said it was going to change everything for the worst, but I told him it is for my health and that is important.
  10. I honestly feel this surgery has opened a new door in our 8 year relationship and he is insecure about his eating habits. I have asked he just replies well you got surgery I didn't!
  11. Honestly he was against me getting the WLS for the beginning, i suggested we do it together because hes also morbidly obese. He is upset that now I want to go out more and I also explained to him that it bothers me he's eating unhealthy. I guess in a way I did this surgery for both us, to set an example that we can be healthy together. @OutsideMatchInside I do agree with you, sometimes he does make a comment saying I am losing weight too fast and that I should eat more. @@KristenLe and @@Inner Surfer Girl you're right he didn't do the surgery, but like everything we do together I expect him to be there on my side with me not in front of me eating delicious nachos lol and he promised he would do it with me eat better and exercise with me I can control myself, it's just difficult when I feel like I'm progressing and my partner is happy sitting on sidelines he said it was because me losing weight and changing, but I did it to be healthier. and I am noticing how he keeps bringing food into

    Lots of pain

How are you feeling now? I did have alot of pain near my big incision but in time it did go away. Maybe you should see your primary, if you're not comfortable with your surgeon. Let your primary know your concerns and they might send you for an ultrasound just to make sure everything is ok! And yea he does sound like he's blowing you off. Feel better

    Today is the day

I felt the same way, honestly I did feel regret right after because I was in so much pain and I felt like I betrayed my body by going through surgery; but in time it got better. Good luck

    Looking in the mirror

I'm one month post op and lost 50 pounds already...and honestly I kind of feel the same way. I feel like I'm just criticizing myself more and more everyday.

    Today is the day

Aren't you excited?! lol I was nervous but for me they just did the blood work, prepped me for surgery and that was it. But then told me that I would not be able to drink for about 12 hours after the procedure Good luck I hope everything goes well.

  17. I had the sleeve done a couple days ago, and I feel like no one around me knows the pain I'm in. Sometimes I feel I won't accept my "new body" since I've been overweight basically since my adolescent. Probably just need to vent. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

@@staceyatw3 my head hungers are driving me crazy too!! I wish i could lose the weight quicker too lol but it takes time, and I notice I have to force my self to drink Water because I notice I'm not as thirsty as I was before.
  19. I'm finding it difficult to drink more Water throughout the day, not because I dislike it but simply because I'm not thirsty. Does anyone else have this problem?
  20. @@Kristin7676 I've been trying to the same but I feel like I'm forcing myself, I'm going to have to go out and buy just one big bottle and make it my daily goal to drink it by bedtime.
  21. That's weird since I'm one month post op and I feel like my sex drive is alot higher than my partners.
  22. @@reree6898 that's what I'm gonna have to do just remind myself to drink Water.
  23. @@jane13 that's a good tip, I'm 1 month post op and I'm hungry throughout the day, so I'm eating about 5 small meals a day but my thirst isin't like before. Gonna have to buy a big Water bottle and just drink all day.
  24. Foxy_lady

    Why am I still hungry?

I know what you're feeling, I'm one month post op and I still feel hungry. My nutrionist advised me to eat small meals about 5x day now, which helps out alot.
