  2. @@Djmohr I was feeling defeated today and then came across your thoughtful response and advice for @seastars. It made good sense and I am glad I came across it. Thanks!
  3. @@Dub Where do you get the dry rubs for your chicken wings? Do you put the rub on before or after grilling? I am on a mission to re-create those wings you posted????

  9. KAZE...Are you on a PPI? I did not feel the restriction until I started taking a PPI last week. Since day three, I have been able to get in my water 64 oz, and protein shakes but I was hungry all the time. Then I started feeling a sensation almost like shortness of breath but I was breathing fine....I just felt like I had to take a deep breath every few minutes...long story short, DR. Advised a PPI. The feeling went away and I now feel the restriction.
  10. Good Luck with your surgery! I agree with you, this is a tool and it's a helpful one. I have not told many people either. It is a personal choice for me and one I did not want to explain to just anyone. Do not feel guilty, we are improving our health!
  11. I use unflavored Syntrax. It dissolves easy, does not have a strong odor, and was not very expensive. I use it in my coffee, mashed potatoes, soup, and sprinkled in yogurt.
  12. Same here! I started a PPI on Tuesday. I get full but then I am hungry two hours later. I feel like I am thinking about food 24 x 7
  13. I am allowed tuna now, and eggs. I also bought some Syntrax unsweetened protien powder and put that in mashed potatoes but I thin them down.
  14. @@Hayleymillay I had my surgery on 7/5 too. I started at 216, was 212 on surgery day and am now at 192. Are you still on shakes or have you started the soft food stage?
  15. Wow, your stats almost mirror mine. It's great to hear how well you are doing. I am looking forward to all the changes. I feel like I am hungry ALL the time! I am in the soft food stage and have no trouble eating my 800 calories. Is this normal? I guess I expected I was going to have to make myself eat and that's just not the case. I'm getting about 70 grams of Protein and 800 calories.
  16. Chocolate is my favorite. I think the vanilla is to sweet. I have been adding sugar free flavors to change them up some. SF Carmel to the banana, SF s'mores to the vanilla. It makes for a little variety.
  17. @sleevenv. Do you mind sharing the brand and what you take?
  18. I had my surgery July 5 too. Low BMI but with co morbidities...high BP, sleep apnea, diabetes, high cholesterol and NA Fatty liver. SW was 216. Today I am down to 195 and off of all meds except BPressure. It's the best decision I ever made! I have so much energy and my back stopped hurting ( I have a lovely Apple shape!) 19. I was July 5 too! How are you doing? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I had my surgery on Tuesday July 5. My plans were to work Thursday, since I work from home. However, I was to exhausted. The pain was manageable, even the gas pain . But I was so tired. Today is the first day I feel close to normal again. Just pace yourself...maybe half days? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Any new Georgia SleeVers? Had mine on 7/5/2016
  22. mine is more like a rumbling, not air. Like my stomach is always empty. What protien shakes are you drinking? I am finding them really really sweet.
  23. Wknapp2966. I had mine on July 5 and have wondered what the heck did I do???? Today was the first day I felt a little better. I have been told this is normal. I hope so. I am struggling with my liquid goals too. I desperately want a cup of coffee but can't imagine how I would drink it. I'm to full!
