WELL I DONT THINK THAT IS A HARD DECISION TO MAKE !! I PERSONALLY DO NOT AGREE TO NOT TELL YOUR BEST FRIEND ABOUT YOUR DECISION TO BETTER YOUR HEALTH AND WHAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY IN THE LONG RUN IF SHE IS TRULY A FRIEND SHE SHOULD STAND BY YOU WHETHER OR NOT SHE DISAGREES WITH YOUR DECISION. I THINK YOU SHOULD BRING IT UP IN A NICE WAY LIKE HEY (FRIEND) YOU KNOW I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THE SURGERY I DONT FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF AND MY DOCTOR HAS SUGGESTED TO ME THAT OPTION DUE TO (MEDICAL REASONS IF YOU HAVE ) IF SHE IS HEAVY TOO AND BATTLING WEIGHT ISSUES THAN MAYBE SHE MAY JUMP ON BOARD BUT I REALLY THINK SHE SHOULD KNOW (WHAT HAPPENS IN THE DARK COMES OUT IN THE LIGHT ) ONE WAY OR THE OTHER.. GOOD LUCK

everyone is different but typically 2 days if your having a revision. i was suppose to have the band to sleev revision and approved for two days with my insurance but i only had the removal of band done and i left the same day in the evening. got my letter for the sleeve in may approved for 1 day more if needed if medically necessary.

i like the security of those big square bandages so i just get extra so i can recover after i remove the original and shower. your right we don't want wet bandages on yuk ! doc said i can remove after 2 days to shower.and i used antibacterial soap.

drink hot tea also sip on hot and move when i got the baND 10 YEARS AGO, It was suppose to be one day i stayed to nights because the gas pain was debilitating too. i walked around the hallways around the nurses stages around the whole damn floor i told the doctor on call that i am not leaving and going home with this pain, he wrote me a prescription i dont remember what it was but that allowed me to stay another night while continuing to walk sip on hot Water and taking whatever it was he gave me . the gas popped i literally felt it and heard it around the 100 on that second night . i went to sleep like a baby and went home the next day. Call your doctor and complain maybe he will call in a prescription for you to the pharmacy. good luck it will get better .... i dread going through this again for the sleeve on May 24th but i know it will be worth it.

Don't be just do everything u have to. I went through 3 appeal Denied. And I took it to external appeal Approved. Yeahhhh. Went in for surgery for revision April 5th band had slipped doctor wanted it to heal. Woke up unsleeved rescheduled for sleeve may 24th. I know you feel very discouraged worn ed out overwhelmed anxious fustrated ect but don't give up it will happen. I was literally on the plain to mexico because I gave up i had to cancel my flight and wait 72 hours to get the external appeal outcome. When are u submitting to ins..

How many nutrition classes does your insurance require, because if its only one then your ready to have your doctors office submit information for you to get approved. and then your date for surgery, im assuming that the groups are your choice. Congratulations on your decision to live a healthier life.

HI Jill, Congratulations. Did You go in Surgery at around 10. I was there the same day and Dr. Ewing came to see me and my hubby and after signing papers and talking for a bit he said i had someone before me. I went in at around 12 and unfortunately i couldnt get the sleeve done because my band had slipped. So i go on May 24th. I'm doing fine It sounds like you are on track. All what you are feeling are normal it will get better WOW 16 lbs great job..
