Airport eating
I got SOOO pissed at the hotel I was staying at today. The lunch dude told me I had to order off the main menu with no modifications. This is a 4 star resort in San Diego. At breakfast the waitress let me order 1 poached egg. At dinner the waitress let me order just a chicken breast. I chalk lunch up to a new employee. I do try and express to restaurants and hotels about bariatric needs so it helps for others In the future. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I had a medicine in pill form. Just take it pill form. None got stuck. I am not sure if efficacy was compromised as I stopped the meds a few weeks later. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Who would have thought..6 months today
Lately I have been saying to my close friends who know I have had the surgery "who would have thought...." I have had so many firsts and happy moments I never expected since my surgery. I can truly say this was the best decision I have ever made. For those on the fence I just want to say I have never regretted this decision and am amazed everyday what a game changer it has been. I am officially 6 months today and I honestly feel like at the age of 45 my life is just beginning. I am sort of a slow loser. I started at 240 start of diet. 225 surgery March 1 and as of last mon I was 163. 5'5 Because I can say for the first time in so, so many years, I truly love myself. I love who I have become. Not because I look more like the norm (though that is a a factor) but because of the little things. I can go up and down stairs with ease. I can run 2 miles without stopping. I am doing a 5k next week. I feel I deserve a sassy haircut! I can go on vacation and chat with a man in the jacuzzi in a bathing suit. I can order just a chicken breast for dinner and not apologize. I can Dance to my Music when I walk and not care who sees Me or has an opinion. I can experiment with recipes to make it Bari friendly and tasty. I can run a weight loss challenge and encourage others to succeed. I can look in a mirror.(which I haven't in 4 years). I can have my picture taken by myself (only 2 times but I did to send to my grandmother who is not long for this world). And I feel ok at each size. I do not worry of it is a 12, 10, 8. I care how I feel in the clothes. I can love me! I am about 35 40 lbs away from goal but I feel good about myself. I actually feel pretty and I haven't forever! I still feel my face looks fat so I need to work on that. I can't do selfie face pic but one day I hope I can get past this. I want to grow up and be As self confident as @@Dub and post a lot of pics of myself. He looks so amazing and I love that he sees it n himself. I want to see it in myself in a picture like him. Though he is hot stuff and I will never be as hot as him . I am really stretching myself and posting a black bar pic of myself. This is from today for my meeting Happy half anniversary to me. C25k. Keeping myself honest
Holy shit!! 10:12??? Amazing!! And here I was about to post how excited I was to hit 11:29! I finally felt OK to run again after a week off for injury. I am in la jolla ca for business and just did an epic excursion and I am super proud of myself. I did 1.75 miles on a trail running at a 11:30 or so pace. Turned around and did a walking excursion trail out to a scenic view for about 1 mile out and 1 mile back. Then ran another mile after a mile walk. My hip and knee hurt a bit from the trail so I didn't want to push it. But I feel amazing and so proud of myself!!! I forgot that if I went down I had to walk back up!! But I did it! I never could have before! Also (this has nothing to do with running but I also feel super proud of this) after the run I went to the jacuzzi in a bathing suit to soothe my legs and sat there and talked to a guy for 45 minutes. IN A BATHINGSUIT!! I rock. Hahaha The 5 k is next week. Wish me luck!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

It's a Labor of Love: Labor Day Weight Loss Challenge
Hello Everyone! We are officially into week 1 and I hope each and every one of you is working your way towards your goal! Here are the official starting stats: 1. We have 69 participants this round 2. 6 have missing weights 3. At the start, collectively we weigh 13,920.5 lbs (6,314.2 kg) 4. At the end, we want to weigh 13,305.8 lbs (6035.4 kg) 5. That is a total weight loss of 614.7 lbs (278.8 kg) 6. The average weight loss goal across everyone is 6.7 lbs for the 5 weeks (This includes those logged at 0.0 due to missing values so it may actually be closer to 7-8 lbs) I will be away wed - sat for a trip and will try and keep up - but I may not be able to log this week's stats until Sunday. The following participants are missing their starting values. If you are listed and do not provide your last week and this week values, you will be removed @@losingtheselumps @@Loudy227 @@MarciaN @@missruthy @@prettyapril @@Unbridled Have a happy and productive week everyone! goplay

@ rubia72 - Those are my classifications - basically - if you are still trying to get to goal weight - then you are in weight loss mode - If you are at or around your goal and are just trying to maintain the current weight give or take a few pounds - you are in maintenance - I believe with a goal of onederland you are active weight loss mode

C25k. Keeping myself honest
I think I need to avoid the back to back runs - I went out sunday to catch up and am really sore in my hips and thighs and i feel tired. I will go out Wed - it is supposed to be the 2.75 mile day - but we shall see! I will just keep thinking "I think i can I think I can" Yesterday I tried to do the 2.5 miles in 25 minutes again - but i was really tired so i settled for 2.0 miles in 27 minutes
