  3. So I mentioned to my new (non-WLS) therapist that I am meeting with my WLS surgeon to discuss a surgery date. She said I needed to work through my eating disorder before surgery bc I mentioned I am a stress eater and sometimes I don't have portion control. It's not all the time, so I don't feel like it's a disorder. I have PCOS so it's been a struggle with losing weight, even when I tried really hard to lose. Just curious if anyone experienced anything similar...

  5. I have always been bigger than most, but I was diagnosed in 2008 with PCOS. That made it 1000 times harder to lose weight and then I packed on a ton of weight. I have a toddler that needs me to be healthy, too. Time to make a change.
  6. Is it a problem having a Starbucks fix every now and then? I know they say no caffeine before surgery, but wondering if anyone caved, too?

  8. I have PCOS as well and never had success on any diet. I am on metformin 1000mg a day. We also adopted a baby boy in 2014. I am about a month into this whole process. ???? Just had my psych eval and it went well. Hope to be sleeved in 3 months or so. Trying to find better Breakfast solutions. Tried doing a smoothie this morning with almond milk, spinach, banana, mango, and kiwi. I used too much spinach so it tastes like a salad.
  9. I am going to be self pay. Surgeon is requiring 6 nutrition classes and 6 psych classes anyway. He said it will be at least 3 months before a surgery date, insurance or not. [emoji53]

  16. @@GBLady41 I feel the same, too! I have a 2 y/o and nap every time he does. I'm so tired of being tired. My insulin resistance sucks. When I try to eat "healthy," I end up getting the shakes. Good luck and keep us updated!! ????
