  2. @81KELLOGRAM..... my main incision is pretty sore as well. I'm just taking it day by day. I have lost 7 lbs in four days. Looking forward to 1 month follow up to see all of our progress.
  3. Yes ma'am I am back in sweet home Alabama. I feel better today just when I drink it's a little uncomfortable but my surgeon said that's expected for a week or two because there is so much swelling in my belly. So I'm grinning and bearing right now

  5. Hi everyone. Just wanted to update that I am 4 days post op and 7 lbs down. I was sleeved on 12/5 and it has been very little discomfort. My belly is sore of course. I have one incision site that is very sore. I have a total of 6 lap sites though. I don't have nausea really though, knock on wood. Day of surgery I felt really sick but I'm okay now. I am so grateful to have had this surgery. I know this is going to change my life. I challenge the dec groupers to post monthly photos so that we can encourage each other and see each other's weight loss. Highest weight- 242 lbs Surgery weight 12/5/16 -219 lbs Current weight- 212 lbs Goal weight- 150 lbs
  6. Hi family.. I was sleeved on 12/5. I had surgery at about 9:45am and went to recovery for an hour and a half then to my room. Gas pain was a killer but I walked and walked as much as I could. My incisions are very sore. I have 6. Lap sites with detmabobd glue. The biggest one on my left side underneath my breast hurts the most so I'm assuming that's the one they pulled the stomach out of. However, I feel it is worth it and I will know even more so that it's worth it in 3-4 months when I can see my body actually changing. Good luck to all and let's stay positive and post our updates so that we can be encouraging to others.
  7. That's awesome congrats... post some pics please
  8. Thank you @ Chel1. I have been sleeved now and he doesn't say much about it. But that's okay because I get a lot of support from this online forum from great people like yourself. So, as you said , I will def be okay either way. I serve a God who has never left me and I don't see him leaving me now. Take care and thanks again.
  9. Thanks I can't wait. Take care????
  10. Hi Rainbow2015......my surgery went really great. So glad to hear you are doing well. I had tremendous gas pain though and I walked as much as I could but it is now going away. My incisions hurt a bit... I have 6 and the one that hurts the most is the bigger one underneath my left breadt. But I'm giving it time to heal. I can't wait to see results in a couple of months. We will be here to motivate each other.

  13. You look absolutely marvelous. Your swag is on point as well. What a fantastic transformation. You said you did squats and sit-ups... how long after surgery did you start doing both? I really want to do squats , crunches and of course cardio but I forgot to ask my surgeon how long to wait before doing squats. I was just sleeved on mon dec 5 so I'm a new baby sleevie.

  20. I agree. I would never leave him because of male attention because I been with him big n small to big again so that's just his insecurities. My son went with me and he was very supportive and he stayed by my side the whole time . So I'm happy for that .
  21. So happy for you DeeDee..... I am post op day 3 and I still have some gas pains... it's getting better . I have minimal pain. I'm there with you about liquids . My doc told me don't push it just try sipping every 15 min so that's what I have been doing... yayyy we are in the losers bench????. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Thanks @@QueenBx! I was very nervous , but everyone was very professional and kind to me at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. My doctor (Charles Procter, Jr) has an excellent bedside manner and is a second generation gastric surgeon. I think he did a great job. I had umbilical hernia repair and robotic gastric sleeve. Not much pain or nausea, though I was medicated for both in the hospital. My throat was sore from intubation during the procedure, but I got him to prescribe a spray that helped a lot. I was released the next morning after I ate clear liquid breakfast with no problems. My stomach actually feels tighter today (post-op day 2), but its beatable. I do have some gas but walking definitely helps with that. The jury is still out on gerd issues. Now that im home if I could just get these fluids in... but overall everything is going well. Thanks for the prayers! Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
