  1. Nope. I've bought it and eaten it. Couple of teaspoons per serving was all. Couldn't finish the pint for two reasons: My tummy does not like cold/frozen My kids devoured it before I could try again But- it does have low sugar and increased proton. Not a bad choice for a treat. I waited until WELL into my full food general diet to try it though. Flavor was good. Just don't mistake Ben and Jerry for Halo...lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  3. Protein goals- met and surpassed daily. Weight loss- on flipping track as well- 7 mos out, 15-20 lbs from goal Vitamins? You betcha hair loss? Like a MOFO Grateful I had too much to begin with. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. That's the Dunkin inside Norris... Downstairs. Starbucks is upstairs. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Let's find one that runs through campus! The changes there are crazy! Did you hear Norris is coming down??? Did you know it now has a Starbucks AND a dunkin donuts???? Go Cats!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I'd be inclined to run my ass over to Buffalo Joe's and get an order of cheddar chips. I haven't been back to campus in years--I'd love to see how it's changed. And Starbucks? Holy hell. Tommy Nevins!!!!!!!!! Still the best fish and chips around Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I don't crock pot... I have a countertop pressure cooker. I live for it in the winter months. I can knock out a pot roast in 30 minutes, veggies included. Same with a roasted chicken, beef stew, you name it. Another great thing about it- I can toss frozen chicken breasts, frozen veggies, quartered potatoes or dry rice, some liquid, seasonings, and have a one pot savory meal in under 30 minutes. Fast, rib-sticking, growing boy kind of food (for my boys! Girl doesn't do chicken!) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. Nope. Could not see myself doing this ever. Couldn't see myself walking to the end of the driveway without pain, stopping or help... 10 feet tall and bulletproof? Yes. Yes. For many reasons, this being one of them. Feel invincible at times -- most times. Thank you. Your opinion and confidence is greatly appreciated Dub. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. Thanks friends. Feel like I've a huge weight on my shoulders right now. Unusual feeling for me. Pounded some more pavement tonight to work it out. Have a few other things I'd like to pound, but would likely get in all kinds of trouble... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Getting kind of anxious here... Been working out and running like a ninja for months, with no end game in sight other than attaining health. I'm 20 lbs from goal, and today is my 7 month mark from surgery. A while ago I decided to sign up for a 5k/15k run here in Chicago called the Hot Chocolate Run. Couple gal pals will be joining me. Thing is, I'm freaking out. Seriously nervous, especially when I realized yesterday that it was only 7 days away. I am not looking to "win". Just to finish. And I think I can do it. Originally, I signed up for the 5, but then changed to the 15. I mean, why not go for the whole kit and caboodle??? Just needed to put this out there. Like mojo-juju stuff. Get rid of the scared feelings, hoping to replace them with confidence and determination. To tell the world and the cosmos that I WILL do it. Thanks for the space to do so. And if 8 days from now no one hears from me, I've either been trampled by the masses or collapsed and died on the run. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I'm shocked and awed by how fast 7 months have gone by.... What have I learned since beginning this journey? So much, so much.. I've learned that I remember who I was pre-weight gain: a dynamic woman, full of life, with an opinion that matters, who can take anything on and succeed. I have learned that it is OK to ask for and accept help and guidance. I have learned that the weight loss also sheds unwanted baggage. I have learned that failure is not an option. I have learned, once again, to not only love myself, but to allow others to love me. I have learned that sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees and often times you need a guide. I have learned that whatever is worth having is worth fighting--HARD--to get. I have learned that letting go of the past is easier when someone holds your hand and walks through and away from it with you. I have learned, simply, to be true to myself and to those I love. I have learned that good things can happen at any time- on any day. I've learned to be partial to Tuesdays Finally, I have learned to be Lisa and to be the best version of myself, with the person I love, my children and my God. 16. Never heard of Biotin injections.... Have they actually been proven beneficial? Been using the pills, 7 Mos out and while the loss has slowed, it is still there. Blessed to have had a ridiculous amount of hair preop so to others not noticeable. To me, however, it has been way more than I anticipated. Only benefit? Takes 10 min to dry with a dryer versus the prior- preop 35-40 min. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. your support and encouragement are greatly appreciated... still doesn't mean I know nothing about diet soda, carbonation and so on...still doesn't mean I have nothing of value to add.. just bc you are able to drink sugar free soda wo effects doesn't make it good for you and going back looking for a weak post I wrote to pick on and use against be is beyond immature as well as appalling to me. Sure I can get upset and not like what someone says but not going to go look for things there struggling with to bring them down Wow Appalling!!? That's ALL it takes to garner that reaction? Things that appall me- Child molestation Spousal abuse Thievery Blatant disregard towards humanity Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Let's face it.... We all want and hopefully, achieve health. But yes, the giddy part deep down comes out ... I can shop in any store I want, with the exception of plus sizes lol I can easily squeeze between a table and chair to pass to my own seat... I criss-cross my legs, as well as cross them whenever I want... Wearing high heels again- dreamy!!!!!.... My guy calls me a tiny thing... My son, away at college, saw him just today on an impromptu visit. He's got the flu. I said "Honey, you look horrid, miserable". His response? " Heck, Momma, you look AWESOME!!" Feeling desirable.... Feeling invincible .... Feeling like any roadblocks, real or perceived, have melted away and the world and the life you want to live in it is yours for the taking. That's my SHORT list. 23. It does 2016-10-19 11.06.30.jpg have whey in it, I'm not sure why it tastes better but it definitely does.. I love it! Munky It has whey, yes, but when considering NITRITIONAL VALUE, it is third in line!!!! This MATTERS!!! Calcium casein protein is a good protein if you need delayed absorption- like before bedtime or such. In terms of Premier's ingredients, it DOES NOT list the PERCENTAGE of each of the three different Proteins it has- so the Whey Protein could easily, as the third type listed be anywhere from 33% down to .01% of the total protein. That is a RISK I'm NOT willing to take with my nutrition. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Nope. I think they're disgusting, overly sweet and nutritionally not as sound as many other (whey Protein isolate) choices. AND My nutritionist forbids them unless it's a dire emergency. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App What do you drink? I'm hoping to be able to get my protein with food ASAP. I haven't tried it yet but I was totally shocked that someone said Pure Protein was their favorite. I poured that nasty crap down the drain. To each their own I guess. Sent from my LGLS992 using the BariatricPal App What's your favorite right now? My Protein drinks of choice are NOT milk based- Syntrax nectar Caribbean Cooler is #1- not sweet, mixed with Water and I add a half scoop of unflavored powder to it as well to bolster the protein count. Beyond that, I will drink any beverage and mix a scoop or scoop and a half of unflavored powder to it. Usually
