  1. Awesome!!!! Its always good to hear that. Mine is tomorrow. Yikes!!
  2. I am so glad to hear that I am not alone. My surgery is April 21!!! This monday!!!!!!!! I have been ok up until this week. My husband (who was supposed to get the band first but when going through testing for the band they found Cancer. They operated and they say he is ok now, just has to get another body scan in 6 months to make sure) keeps saying that I have been a little crabby and keeps asking if I want to back out. I DON'T. But I am terrified I guess because its forever. I am so ready to be thin and healthy forever but also scared to death. I thought I was crazy, so glad to see I am not alone. I believe we can all do this and its going to be an amazing scary wonderful ride. Good Luck to all of you.
  3. I agree with Banded08. If I am not on metformin I gain weight also, no matter how I am eating. I told my surgeon this and he said he had never heard of that, but if I wanted to stay on it after surgery than I could. I just need to be off of it the day before. I am going to continue to take it. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!! Vikki
  4. My post op diet is 2 weeks liquids (any liquids) which include protein shakes, the 1 to 2 weeks of mushies the normal food as tolerated. I just think every Doctor is different and goes by what they see as best. Vikki
  5. My day is April 21. I had my pre op and all went well. I have no special diet to follow just to not gain any weight and the day before to eat light and not late at night. I am so excited I keep ripping out pages from magazines of all the clothes I can not wait to wear!!! Vikki
  6. April 21 for me to here in NC. I am nervous too but also excited about all the clothes I will be able to wear. Good Luck to all Vikki
  7. My Doctor doesn't require any special diet before hand. You must make sure that your weight stays the same or lose some but do not gain ANY. The day before surgery you just eat light. Thank Goodness:biggrin2: Vikki
  8. Absolutely Sandy. Keep me posted. I am so excited for everyone here. April will be a great month. Vikki
