Should people barely over 200 lbs or below 200 get Lapband or any WLS...?
I would have to say then that no, they don't need it (just personal opinion) but insurance wont pay for someone 5'5" @ a low BMI with out comorbidities (read as diabetes, arthritis etc) and even then its a battle royal to get it done. But who am I to say they can or can't or should or shouldn't? If they have the money and want to do it, that is there bag to carry.

Should people barely over 200 lbs or below 200 get Lapband or any WLS...?
Well I can't honestly answer that poll. I mean what is this person height? Are they short? Tall? what? Do they have health related issues due to the extra weight? Honestly, if the person is healthy and of average height I would lean towards saying no, it is not necessary for that person to get it. BUT I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. This is something that should be discussed by the doctor and the patient. So honestly I can't answer the poll and feel comfortable with my answer because there are so many variables that would make it so the person that wants it would benefit amazingly or something else. Sorry hun

1/2 way there and getting scared
Honey we all pretty much know (or will know) what you are going through, I have lost and gained and the one spot that always stuck around either in skin or fat was my 'pooch'. But look at the alternatives, now you are getting so healthy and in shape and just feeling so much better (physically at least). To be honest I would rather deal with the skin then the fat. Check with your insurance, some have riders that if you have had WLS you automatically qualify for plastic surgery, some you have to have rashes and just general medical issues with the excess skin. Mine (tri-care) automatically qualifies me for plastic surgery with WLS (I THINK, I am still researching it and so far all the reps have told me I qualify since I had WLS)

Signifigant Other's Insecurities, is it OUR job to stop them?
Sweetheart your husband needs counseling. I think you would both benefit from marriage counseling but your husband especially. Even the best relationships can benefit from marriage counseling I think. But your husband really needs to get some help with his insecurities, as they can lead to severely abusive behaviors as you are finding out. Right now he is on that cusp of either realizing he is being a raging jerk or falling into an abusive pattern that will only push you further and further away. You need to put your foot down and tell him that he needs help for his insecurities. No one, and I mean NO ONE deserves treatment like you are getting right now.

I hate it when people post just to post.....
ROFL you just reminded me of something I did one night at work (I was a waitress/manager of a 24hr place) One of my regulars and I were discussing tattoo's. He didn't believe I had any, so right in the middle of the smoking section I proceeded to show him. ALL my tattoo's, At the time it was only 9 or 10 of em, but the look on his face when he realized what I was doing. :w00t: (He was a body piercer so he had/has seen much MUCH more skin LOL) Besides I had been trying to get into his pants for ages, figured that might help me a bit. (oh, and there was only like 5 customers that night, 2 were cops, 2 were strippers, and 1 was him .... I wound up dating one of the cops after that night ... so much for my piercer fantasy....)

Wake up extremely tired whenever I dream-
Plain good info to have, I was going off of the information I had when I was going through massive sleep studies (it was "new) when I was younger and having massive nightmares and massive insomnia episodes. They never did figure out my insomnia, been like that since I was a kid (hell my mom said even as an infant I would go days with out sleeping longer then 15 minutes at a time). Sleeping pills work, and when I take them I sure as hell don't remember ever dreaming. I don't "drift off" I just *bam* pass out when I go to bed. I don't like taking them at all though. Hate the punch drunk hung over feeling they give me :blushing: BUUUUT back to the dreams, I always remember my dreams. Some I wish I didn't cause right now with out the hubby to make them better *wiggles eyebrows* gets frustrating ... well I shouldn't have said that ... byeeeee

Wake up extremely tired whenever I dream-
That is easier to answer then you think. Sometimes when someone dreams it is what is called a "Physical dream" not in the sense you are flip flopping all over the bed but your body and muscles react just the same as if you had been running a marathon with out actually moving. Chances are you have more dreams then you remember and they aren't physical, but normal sedate dreams. A suggestion I have is to keep a dream diary next to your bed and write down the dreams you do remember. Try to find out what you are dreaming and which ones wake you up tired. It wont actually help but you will be able to at least see in writing what you are dreaming. You can get medication from your doctor that will drop you into a deep REM sleep and with the deeper REM's you don't actually dream, its when you are in a light REM that you dream. I wouldn't go the medication route unless it is truly causing you problems during the day. Even then you doctor might want you to go in for a sleep study to see if they can find a physical cause for the waking exhaustion.

Signifigant Other's Insecurities, is it OUR job to stop them?
FlipFlops I agree with you, to a point. You can only reassure someone so much before it becomes a mental issue beyond what a normal person can deal with. After a point it becomes a job for a trained professional not a spouse, especially if that spouse is doing all they can do to assure the S.O. that there is no need or concern for the insecurities. Putting that kind of pressure on a person is not fair nor is it right, there has to be a line that goes beyond what a spouse or S.O. should have to deal with after that line it is up to the person to get help for their psychosis into insecurities.

Signifigant Other's Insecurities, is it OUR job to stop them?
To a point it is our job to smooth there ego's and insecurities.... to a point.... Then it is up to the S.O. to realize that they are just being silly and there it nothing to worry about. It isn't an exact science to figure out where to draw the line, but constant accusations can cause more harm then good. Your hubby needs help hun, beyond what you can give him. Talk to him about maybe joint counseling sessions? It couldn't hurt to find a marriage counselor that deals with issues like this and help him overcome his fears of you leaving him. It could be that he is starting to feel that now that you are a 'brand new you' that you will want a brand new S.O. to go with the look, that maybe he feels you 'just settled' with him because you were big and didn't feel you could get someone else? Talk to him, try not to get angry and find out where the insecurities are coming from. If you two can't resolve the problem suggest you both go see a marriage counselor. It wouldn't hurt in the slightest.

Cheese cake and rare steak are my superwoman weaknesses (well my hubby is too but that is a WHOLE different thread). I can not pass up a rare seasoned perfectly steak, nor can I pass up a wedge of cheese cake, especially the ones I make *dies*

To unfill or not to unfill...WWYD?
I would go get a unfill darlin. You are still tight if you can't eat properly. You should know better then I that if you can only get liquids down and minute amounts of food you are just to tight. You have to be able to eat, not drink your foods.
