  1. I was on depo for about 7 years and loved it! I hate periods! I am on seasonale now, it was good until I had surgery. I have been spotting pretty much ever since. I go to the dr on Tuesday, I was going to ask about Mirena. Anything to make it stop!
  2. I cheated too, had chinese 2 days before.
  3. Ok, this was my first real day today. I didn't do too bad... b - protein shake s - sausage l - chicken salad s - rice cakes (i was dying) d - bacon and eggs
  4. I am sure many of us have this; band being tighter in the morning. I have to really sip my liquids in the morning now. My bf asked me why that is and I didn't have a logical answer... so why are some of our bands tighter in the morning??
  5. Don't feel bad, I was eatting some not so great things too. I am at a good fill level now and can't so it is all clicking in my head now.
  6. I am so tight in the morning that is all I can get down and if I don't have something I get headaches or feel gittery. I don't care for the powder myself, I buy the EAS premixed ones that actually aren't that bad. More expensive but what are ya gonna do?
  7. I got the "generic bullet" from walmart. It comes with the cups and lids and everything just like it and it was like $20-$30.
  8. I don't think anything has changed yet, but when I went in October they picked me up at the San Diego airport and crossed over with no problems. On the way back into the states is where they checked my ID.
  9. I use fill centers usa. I think they are only the middle man in the deal and each nurse is different. My nurse is awesome. She has never had a problem getting in and giving me a fill and does not use flouro. The first visit was $299 and each fill after is $155. They did have some package deal though. I would suggest checking out their website or giving them a call.
  10. I haven't lost that much either. Not even 30 since surgery. I just got my 4th fill and am finally feeling some real restriction and just started low carb. Hang in there, you will get the right fill level and you will not need insulin one day!
  11. I have my fills done by someone else. If I were that close I would definately use them for my fills though!
  12. Hi, I live in west Phoenix. I was banded in Mexico - Dr. Corvala. Wendy Hall also does my fills. Everything has been good so far!
  13. I had mine done with Dr. Lopez Corvala on October 5, 2007 in Tijuana. So far so good!
  14. I use fill centers, the above mentioned lady from Phoenix, the mid wife does mine. She is awesome, always gets right in! I am sure every location is different and depends on the people there.
  15. EAS has big bags of Chocalate and Vanilla powder at Sams club, those last forever!!
  16. Sounds like it is just taking some time for all of us to get to the proper fill level. I felt like a failure too, and even had other looking at me like "did she just waste all of that money?". I just had my 4th fill and can no longer eat ANY bread. So I am starting my high protein low carb diet. I should have done it all along but if I could eat right I would not have needed the band right? I always said as long as I can eat I will... hence why I choose the band! We can do it!
  17. Hi there, I am new here. Glad I found this board! Geez I have been going through all this crazy stuff by myself! I was wondering if anyone here was banded the same day/place I was? I met a lot of nice people while I was there and wished I would have exchanged email addresses or something!
  18. I didn't like those either. I bought some liquid vitamins from Sams club. Yuck! Bought some bariatric chewable from Walgreens, they were so so but you had to take 4 a day and they are big. I now take Viactiv Multi Vitamin for women. They are little chocolate chews. I like them much better!
  19. I also had surgery with Dr. Corvala and have had no problems or complications. Best decision I have made for myself!
  20. I had mine done with Dr. Lopez Corvala at the Angeles Hospital in Tijuana. The website I used was Welcome to Beliteweight. They can give you a list of places to get fills or I even found a website. Fill Centers USA - Weight Loss Surgery - Bariatric Surgery - Gastric Bypass Surgery - Lap Band Surgery Information and Support. They do mine.
  21. I wish I would have found this site a long time ago! I am 30 years old and have a 10 year old son who is a type 1 diabetic. I was banded on October 5, 2007 by Dr. Lopez Corvala in Tijuana, Mexico. I have lost about 20# since surgery (not near what I would like to be at). I recently had my 4th fill, and I am now having problems with most of the foods I was eating. Not a bad thing, obviously I could have lost more. So now I am going to start a low carb diet and hope to drop all of this weight!
