  1. I have a question about what kind of meds can or can't we take? My doctor says I can take anything, but then I read about NSAIDS. Are they to be taken or not? I only take WellButrin, a multi vitamin and a low dose aspirin daily. But, I've read that some medicines can get stuck in our pouch. Just wondering what kind of experience everyone else has had.
  2. Thanks. I'll try that brand. I heard Oprah (so you know it's true!! ) say that Skinny Cow makes great sugar free products. I plan on trying that as well. I've GOT to get ahold of this before I'm back where I started. I'm trying to hold off until after Christmas to get a fill. I've got 4cc in a 10 cc band. What do you have?
  3. Just wondering if you go to any support groups? I'm 2 hours away from Ashland and am thinking about starting my own group here. Just wondering if/where you meet and does it help?
  4. I now have 4cc in a 10cc band. I'm really at my sweet spot right now and love it. I can eat nearly anything in small amounts. My problem is ice cream!! I eat some every night. If I'd give it up I'd lose more. I'm currently a size 14 which doesnt sound all that great, but coming froma size 22, I'm happy.
  5. Congratulations!! I also had my surgery at King's Daughters in October 07. My success hasn't been quite as good as you, but I'm happy with my 60 less pounds. Was Dr Wheeler your surgeon? My email address is: displaceddiva@yahoo.com
  6. i'm also from ky. What part are you in and where did you have your surgery?
  7. I have Great West Insurance and had my lap band surgery October 2007. I was surprised that it was as easy as it was. I called the company first and had them fax me a list of requirements to be approved. Then I turned that list over to my family doctor and a copy to my weight loss surgeon. Most of the requirements were the same as other companies. Great West paid 80% of everything. If you have any more questions about them I'll try to answer them.
