hey everyone, i am a dec 2007 bandster and have lost 80 lbs....and 18 to goal....i am feeling great and love my band....no problems what so ever....i now have 5 1/2 ccs in my 10 cc band....and right now i am very tight...i think i have reached my sweet spot....hope everyone is doing fine...i am no longer on cpap machine and that is great feeling.....talk to you all later...

hi....i was banded in december 2007..... my starting weight was 214 and im 5'2"......my bmi was 35...i am now down 80 lbs. and would like to lose around 18 lbs more...the best thing i have ever done....i was on a cpap machine and after losing weight, i am no longer on the machine.....my insurance approved really fast because of sleep apnea, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.....i had to do a 6 month nutritional visit but after that it was approved within 24 hours...i had humana insurance and paid it all except 700.00.....glad to be healthy at 52 years old....

Do not use any nsaids....i have learned from experience....i used nsaids and now have developed h pylori in my stomach from them and cannot get rid of it...i may have to be unfilled and start all over again....i am 15 months out from banding ......follow your doctors order.......banded and happy after 15 months

i have always had a problem with chicken. i have tried dipping it in sauces and it still is a problem....i find that dark meat is better tolerated...i have been banded for 15 months and i have 5 1/2 ccs in my 10 cc band...i think i have reached my sweet spot... last fill was jan. and i have an appt for april, but may have to cancel....good luck everyone...i was banded in ashland, ky. by Dr. Thompkins....a great but strict doctor i started out 214 and now 140.....i love my band:lol:

hey dec, 2007 bandsters....i was banded on 12/14/07 in ashland, kentucky at kings daughters hospital....i have lost 80 lbs and have 18 to goal.....i love my band and love the restriction...... i am losing slow now, but still losing....i have not gained a lb back....i am very strict on myself....i follow the rules of banding to the "t"...... all band rules.... i go for my 6th fill in april, but if im still restricted like i am now, i may cancel.....good luck to everyone

I always did have a problem in the morning eating that first bite. My dr. told me to sip on something hot like tea or coffee for 1/2 to 1 hour prior to eating. He said that when you sleep at night the pouch becomes dry and needs to be opened in the morning and the hot drink will do it for you.
