  1. Thanks everyone. There are certain things that I just can't do fat free. I'm still getting in my protein and keeping my carbs under control. I'm on Day 12 on puréed. Feeling great! Love this forum!
  2. I am 9 days post op. Yippee! I start my purée phase tomorrow. I've been given a small list of food items to start incorporating into my meal plan. (Not my diet). Was wondering if I must do fat free or light cheese, mayo, etc. ?? Veterans, any suggestions? I've been looking on the world according to eggface and she doesn't use low fat/fat free stuff.
  3. Maybe it's the temperature of the water or milk your using to mix with the protein powder. I used to love everything I drank to be I e cold and with ice cubes. Now it has to be room temperature.
  4. @@missjaded44 how often did you work out? You have no loose skin. I'm 1 week post op and want to do what I can to not have plastics. You look amazing.
  5. This sounds delish! I'm doing into puréed phase and can have eggs. This will definitely be on the menu. Btw where do you find the chipotle chilies in adobo sauce?

  18. @@areader4life It could be withdrawal from caffeine. Were you a coffee or soda drinker before surgery? I also had bad headaches the first couple of days. For me it was the Tylenol with codeine. So I stopped taking it and just took extra strength Tylenol. I wasn't in a lot of pain so that worked for me. It can also be dehydration but sounds like you're getting in your liquids. Hope this helps and you feel better. I had surgery on 5/2 and am feeling great!
  19. I have! I've been dreaming of wearing cut off shorts, converse and a band t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up! Lol. Oh and a tight red dress with cleavage and 6" stilettos! Can't wait!!
  20. I had mine on Monday. I packed pajamas, iPad , chargers, Phone. Change of underwear. Chapstick. Book. Earbuds. Tooth brush n tooth paste. Hair comb. I only used my Chapstick earbuds charger and phone. I was either sleeping or walking. And sipping. Wore my flip flops to walk but would have just worn the socks they gave us. I had no desire to change into my pjs. So don't over pack. My surgeon gave us a pillow to use when we walked and for the drive. I did bring my favorite bed pillow which was the best thing I had there.
  21. I had my surgery on Monday 5/2 and today am feeling pretty "normal". No more pain and gas. Incisions are a little sore but extra strength Tylenol works for that.
  22. This is awesome!! Congrats!
  23. Don't be scared! I had mine on Monday and I'm only having some feelings like I did too many sit-ups. You'll be a success! We need this tool to live a healthy life and not continue doing the yo yo diets and taking medication. This is for you! To save your life! You got this!
  24. Thanks everyone! Hope it's better tomorrow! Gonna take a walk outside. Tired of being in the house. It's been raining since my surgery here in nj. Don't want any "accidents" while I'm out! [emoji15]
