  8. I have made this with the juice of the rotel drained and not drained. If you like a little spice to your meatloaf just add the juice from the can! It adds a little kick and gives the meatloaf a little more moisture!

  10. Just wanted to share a turkey meatloaf recipe I made this evening. Meatloaf ingredients 1 pound lean ground turkey 1 can rotel(w/green chiles) drained 1 egg beaten 1/2 cup onion about 1/2 cup quick cooking oats Teaspoon of salt and pepper Topping for meatloaf: 1/3 cup ketchup 1 tablespoon mustard 2 tablespoons brown sugar Directions: Mix all ingredients for meatloaf and place in a loaf pan. Mix topping ingredients and spread over meatloaf. Bake at 375 degrees for an hour! This meatloaf is sooooo delicious and goes down so easily on my little pouch! I'll usually skip out on the ketchup topping. It tastes just as good without it!
  11. RNY 1/25/16 Down 40 lbs. since surgery. 6' 20 years old. I agree with everyone on this.. Every patient is different!
  12. Try mixing your pain meds with 2 oz water. Mine made me so nauseous and when I added the water the nausea went away.

  14. Thank y'all so much! Oh, and I know. I'm dreading that day when it stops falling off! Lol
  15. I'm down 18 pounds 1 week post op from rny!!! I knew it would come off fast but I did not expect to lose 18 in the first week!!!!!
  16. How much water were you getting in the first week? I have been drinking as much as I can but I just don't want anything.
  17. I am 4 days post op as well and my pain is getting much better!! I'm really only having issues with the gas pains in my shoulder and neck area. They are the worst. For my multivitamin's I am using the Celebrate brand. They are a chewable Vitamin and they aren't bad at all!! I would give them a try.
  18. I am day 4 post-op and I am feeling so much better!! Day 2 was probably the worst. I was very nauseous. And the gas pains.... Ugh, those are the WORST! Walking does help though. I am struggling the most with water intake. It's really hard to get down. I just started drinking crystal light and that has been the easiest to get down.
  19. I have a 9 month old lab that is full of energy and two other full grown labs. I thought this would be an issue as well but it hasn't! I am 4 days post-op and they can sense that I don't feel well. Dogs are pretty smart like that!! I haven't had any issues with them jumping.
  20. My mom and two close friends were the only ones that knew and I had to swear them to secrecy because I was so embarrassed that WLS was my last option because all diets failed. My surgery process was very quick (first seminar was 10/15, surgery 1/25/16). My dad didn't find out until the end of December. My mom would go to my dr. appt' with me and he started to worry why I had all these appt's so I had to tell him but thankfully, he was supportive. My sister on the other hand wasn't. She found every negative story she could find and made sure I knew about them. She doesn't know what it's like being overweight. She's been the size of a toothpick her whole life. After my sister found out I haven't told anyone else because of the negativity I got from her.
