  1. Thank you everyone. I'm going to check these out
  2. Checked them out online. Looks like they only ship in Australia. Thank you though.
  3. I am getting sleeved in two weeks and was wondering if anyone has recommendations on protein shakes. Every shake I have tried taste to sweet for my liking.
  4. I also have United Healthcare but for State employees I was approved in a week. Scheduled for a month later on 3/15. Congratulations!!!
  5. I have United Healthcare Signature Value. Took a week from the day they submitted. I also had the 6 month documented diet, psych evaluation and some other tests.
  6. Just remember that everyone is different. I also know a few have done a wls and they all have had different outcomes. I think for us being a part of a group like this we have so much support and I am so grateful for that. We are going to do awesome.
  7. Thank you. I think the nervousness is overshadowing my excitement. I know everything will be fine. I just want to get past the actual surgery part.
  8. I'll be praying that they approve you. Don't know why they wouldn't have.
  9. Just got my approval today. It took a week.
  10. Take a family picture. I even have a beautiful frame purchased for it already. It's been 4 years since I let anyone take a picture of me. That is the first thing I'm going to do.
  11. We are practically sleeve buddies. It doesn't feel real yet. When the nurse said "You're approved, let's schedule your surgery" I said What? Shut up. I don't think it's even fully hit me yet.
  12. I have UHC and was approved today, a week after it being submitted. Never had to talk to anyone from my insurance. When it was submitted my BMI was listed at 38 but has dropped to 35. I have sleep apnea.
  13. I got my insurance approval today, one week after being submitted and am scheduled for surgery on 3/15. I requested it to be scheduled out that far (which isn't really that far) so I can get everything in order with my job. I am freaking out a little bit.
  14. My doctor had us start our vitamins during our 6 month diet program. Flintstone chewable with iron, Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D, (I order Bariatric Advantage on Amazon) and B 12 Sublingual. I only have issues with the calcium. I feel like it's to much to chew so I suck on it for a little bit to soften it up.
  15. No, that was my last doctors appointment. Waiting on the insurance approval still. How did yours go? How are you feeling?
  16. Still waiting to hear back. How are you feeling?
  17. Honestly, the 6 months is a breeze. I wasn't told to go on a diet. Just read labels and keep a food diary and turn it in at every class. When to start vitamins and kick caffeine.
  18. . I've worried about that excess skin myself!!!! I'm looking things up daily trying to formulate a plan for that. I once talked to a plastic surgeon who told me that wearing spanks would actually help. I don't know about everywhere else but I'll try anything.
  19. I'm sure it varies for everyone . Have to consider case loads, demographics, many factors are in play. All that matters is we get approved. Lol As soon as we hear back let's post so we can compare how long it took based on location.
  20. Office Technician for a State Hospital and F/T student, mom, and wife.
  21. I was wondering the same thing. I have UHC as well and mine was also submitted yesterday. Hopefully we hear back soon.
  22. I completely understand how you feel. Today was the last doctors visit and everything is being sent off to my insurance for approval. I'm nervous, and scared. Hope the wait isn't to long for us.
