March 28th Sleevers, here we go!
Sorry to hear about your loss as well. If you need extra support, we are here. Laying on my left side with heating pad help me move to a bm. I also feel my insides moving when I go from laying down to standing.

March 28th Sleevers, here we go!
I am 4 days out and finally the pain has eased up. I took my pain meds, walked a little and slept a lot. Each day gets better. I also finally had a bm which has allowed me to take in a little more liquid. If still in pain, hang in there it will go away. Also heating pad and laying slightly on my left side helped me with the gas.

Surgery tomorrow!?!
Finally feeling so much better and had my first bm (tmi but we share and relate). Still tender in belly and drinking more since bm. So so happy.

Surgery tomorrow!?!
My spasms are my upper stomach area and go around to my back. Lifting my arms or tapping on my chest seems to help. At least that's what I make myself believe.

Who else got sleeved on the 28th of march?
I'm struggling big time with getting in liquids. I'm sleeping a lot so when I wake I start sipping but fill up fast and bad spasms too. I do hope on my elliptical for about 2 min each time I get up. Overall pain med keep me resting well. Looking forward to feeling normal again.

Surgery tomorrow!?!
Shell I too am having a hard time even getting close to my liquid goal. Sleeping all the time doesn't help but does ease the pain a bit. I still am having spasms that I can even feel in my back. It's hard to tell when I'm full because I'm so sore. I think I'm feel when I feel like I have to burp but cant. Jello is my friend right now even though it takes me a couple sittings to get it all down. We really can't hold much. New life...

Go home day of surgery? Anyone?
I had to stay 1 night so I could do leak test next morning. I was nauseous and really tender so was glad to be monitored.

Time off from work?
I'm only taking this week (one week) off. Dr suggest 2 but my job is very sedentary. As long as the pain keeps easing up I'll be returning after this week. Boss knows what happened and fully support me so worse cause I can always come home.

I think I'm Failing...Miserably :(
You're not failing anything or anyone. It's an emotional roller-coaster. Do your best because you deserve your best and make sure to be compassion towards yourself. You need help which the surgery will give you. No worries. You're All good.

Surgery tomorrow!?!
I'm still having spasms but doc said in couple days it should pass. Hard getting in and out of bed but managing. Sipping on protein and water but can't tell when full yet. I'm going slow and listening to my belly. So glad it's over. Looking forward to full recovery.

March 28th Sleevers, here we go!
Best advice is make sure to tell them if you need anything in the hospital. Everyone handles is different so it's hard to tell. I'm still feeling pain but once I hot over the nauseous it's been better. Glad to be home but miss the remote bed.

Surgery tomorrow!?!
Yeah, I had to do the swallow test twice. That stuff was so nasty!! I'm drinking a little medicine up with water, some jello and/or broth. I should take 15 min just on one medicine cup. I'm getting spasms as well. No vomiting! I dry heaved so bad last night. Glad it's passed. Off the IV now too.

Surgery tomorrow!?!
Yesterday the 28th was my day. Glad it's over. Have to agree about dry throat and mouth. They just gave me mini sponge to wet mouth. I got very sick yesterday so slept a lot but last night nausea passed and I was able to walk a little. Gas X strip help do much, it's been hard to pass anything. All is well. So excited to what's to come in life now. Oh yeah..of course belly is real sore. Nonetheless...no regrets. Best of luck to all

Psych Evaluation Fiasco
It is so true about the psychiatrist vs seeing psychologist. I originally psychologist and took 3 hours and 2 visits to get cleared. Was told it takes about 3 weeks for him to write evaluation so went to psychiatrist and they took 30 min and faxed it within 2 days. I just wish I would of known it before. Could of saved money, time and frustration.
