@@midorigal I know what you mean, i feel bad about how vain it sounds in the grand scheme of things. But just like you my hair was always something I always felt good about. I think I'm going also start taking Biotin it cant harm it (my hair) and maybe keep it as healthy as can be expected when i color it. ????

@@Mistie - you have a point. I've had two surgeries in my life never even noticed hair loss with either procedure. Which makes me feel optimistic and think it won't be as bad as I was fearing?

@@2goldengirl Hmmm...you've got a valid point! ???? it seems to me that it's inevitable and some experience it more than others in regards to the severity.

@@bikrchk You're so right, it's definitely on the con list in regards to WLS. But in my opinion the pro list is longer ???? Will try to stay as healthy and proactive as possible and hope/pray for the best!

@@smallbird thanks so much for the advice! Its nice to know it does come back. I realize everyone is different and all our journeys are unique but its nice to know we can take proactive measures. I will definitely be stocking up on the Biotin capsules! Do you think it will benefit any if I start taking it now? Again thank you! ????

Hello all! I am in the beginning stages of my journey (patiently waiting for my insurance to approve my surgery...the torture,,,LOL) In the meantime I'm researching everything. I see most people say they lose hair at the 3-6 month mark. I know most suggest to load up on Biotin and getting plenty of protein. But my question is: Does your hair ever go back to its state prior to surgery? Can I expect to ever have a full head of thick hair again?

Congrats! So happy for you! I just finished my psych eval today, my last item needed for submission to bcbs tx for approval! Hopefully BCBS TX doesnt take long to process my application/request. What has your experience on their turn around time?
