  1. Well, it's finally here. Surgery is at noon tomorrow. Eek! Clear liquids today, bag is all packed (two night stay). See you all on the other side!
  2. Last day of actual food for me. Clear liquids tomorrow. Surgery Monday!
  3. Please update when you get your labs done! I had to buy chewables. She was dead set against patches. ☹️
  4. I do wish you luck. Do gas x or Prilosec help with the gas? Feel better!
  5. Thanks. I'm trying. It's been a long two years of many many stumbling blocks and things going wrong. It's hard to believe it's happening Monday and that something else won't happen to delay it.
  6. Thanks. I don't plan to vape nic anymore. I just don't want a morning of surgery surprise. I knew I should've gotten a different color pen from her. On top of that she had Cinnamon Toast Crunch in her vape and I didn't notice but now I want nicotine and cereal!
  7. They actually tested me a few months ago. I wondered if they test again the day of surgery. Everything I've read seems to state I'd test positive from this mornings vaping. Nothing I can do now really.
  8. Vaping nicotine? I do need to chill. Lol
  9. So my wife and I both vape. We have the same pen. She uses nic and I use 0 nic (since I quit smoking). Today I vaped on her pen a lot without realizing it (I did feel dizzy but just assumed it was liver shrink diet related). My surgery is Monday and I'm petrified now. On top of it all, now all I want is nicotine. I have no idea if they will test me the day of surgery. I'm scared of I tell them they'll think it's bull and cancel me. I don't know what to do. This was about two hours ago. Did anyone get tested the day of surgery for nicotine/cotinine?
  10. Right! I don't feel like I mentally withdraw as much as physically. Which is part of why I'm hesitant.
  11. Yeah I checked and it definitely wasn't "liked" in my page.
  12. Some of you are badasses! [emoji23]
  13. I was told Aleve could cause an ulcer and to stay away. I'm on Xarelto anyway so I can no longer take it.
  14. I'm so sorry that happened. I too am not at all comfortable with all of Facebook knowing about this. You could've liked it for lots of reasons (to Facebook land). That said. I'm looking to see if I too inadvertently liked it.
  15. Is there anything we can do ourselves to help prevent strictures?
  16. We (wife and I) were just talking about this last night. It has always been all or nothing. We are either or a diet or waaay not on a diet. It's so much healthier to just accept the slip, log it so that you're accountable, but then get right back to it. Ugh, why has it taken me so many years to come to what seem such obvious conclusions?
  17. Me too! I'm wide awake on it. It's so weird because it seems to make other people sleepy. Not me. I have the oxycodone liquid but I'm going to try and just take Tylenol. Plus I always feel awful when I stop the medicine. I swear I withdraw from it.
  18. Just wait till you start manopause.
  19. Oh you guys! I feel so bad for you. Five days till I go in and I expect feeling like this too. But my NUT said it perfectly normal in the beginning. Keep picturing all the things you want to do once you're better, I like that idea Strega!
  20. Idk if this is normal but my surgeon is ok with me taking pills. It seems odd since my popsicles and yogurt can't have lumps. I have so many pills to take. This outta be fun!
  21. It's on my list of meds they don't allow after surgery too.
  22. I'm jealous of where you are at. I'm five days from surgery and time is dragging. I hope tomorrow is better and each day there after. Keep us posted!
