  1. I was high on protein, veggies and then fruit. Very low on carbs. I didn't count calories so I can't answer that. I was sleeve in January 2016 and by June had lost the 59 pounds.
  2. Hi, I have been off program for a year and sad to say, gained 21 of my 59 pounds back!! I feel so bad and need a restart. I do still workout and drink water only but not on top of good proteins and veggies. Need some support as I have friends who had the surgery a year after me and they are almost at goal and I feel like a failure. HELP!!
  3. Thank you everyone for your help! I have made bad choices and now have return to program. I am tracking my food and this week was a tough one with a lot of bad food on display at work. I didn't touch one thing bad on the table and had my ammo in my lunch bag to snack on. I need to stay focused and return to this site more than I did in the past. THANK YOU for letting me come back!!!
  4. Yes, it will get better and you will feel more like yourself in a month or so. Don't give up - you've done the hard part already!!

    Belly button strain?

I too have that feeling from time to time and I am 5 months post-op. I think it's scare tissue forming and our bodies are letting us know it. Hope I'm right but if you're really concerned, call your doctor.
  6. I am in onederland!! I never thought I'd get here and am soooooooo happy!
  7. Welcome to the club! Good group of friends here to help
  8. I also loss a large amount of hair - 3 months out. I went to my hairdresser and she washed my hair with Nioxin and the next morning I noticed a huge difference! My hair has also become dry and I keep oil spray on it to help with that. Good luck everyone who is suffering!!
  9. Don't let your fears take over. That is what the forum is for! Congrats on your success!
  10. I wore a dress last night 4 sizes smaller than when I started. I was very uncomfortable that people were going to think I looked bad. My friends and family said I looked wonderful. My dad said it was the best outfit he had seen me in in years! I felt exposed and couldn't enjoy the evening. Will this continue to happen with every new size?
  11. Exercising has always been fun for me but today I went back to Zumba, after months being gone, with almost 40 less pounds and it was WONDERFUL!! I was able to do the whole hour and didn't feel as if I was beaten up or completely out of breath!!! I am so excited!!-

    Introduction

Welcome to the losing side! We're one big family
  13. I always feel sad these days. Losing nicely so why the sadness?
  14. My girlfriend gave me a throw as a housewarming gift that was so soft. It helped comfort me and keep me calm. I didn't think of it and was pleasantly surprised that it did the trick! I was cold for so long and I didn't want a bunch of blankets on me so this was perfect!! I had the worst time with salty things. Everything tasted salty and I didn't want to go near it, like soup.
  15. Does anyone have the recipe for the baked ricotta cheese? I lost my link and really would like to try it. Thanks!

    Scared

I was a little afraid when the anesthesiologist told me he was giving me the same drug that killed Michael Jackson - didn't know if that was humor or truth.... didn't matter after he gave it to me as I was so HAPPY!! Great drug whatever it was - LOL
  17. Believe me - I called and let them know how bad she was.
  18. So, I went to see my NUT today and left very upset! She is not the supportive type but more of a robot. She has a check list of what she needs to cover and doesn't wait to hear answers nor questions brought on by her "check list". I was very upset that when I asked certain questions that it appears she wasn't listening as she asked me the same questions a few minutes later. I stated that we don't click and she informed me that that was ok, she wasn't going to see me anymore..... who says that to a patient??? I called into the program coordinator and shared my experience but I don't know if she really will do anything. I don't want to go back.... what can they do to me??? NOTHING!!!!! And I woke up so happy today too :-(
  19. @rebelray - I know I was afraid right up to the IV in the arm and being wheeled into surgery. I wanted to say never mind.... glad I had drugs to keep me on the gurney - LOL As Canuimagine said, you can do this!!! Find a gym to go to strip you of the stress and just walk on the treadmill for 10 mins. The only food I miss currently is relish and nuts. You will be able to eat all foods again, just wait and enjoy the here and now. Good luck and smile... you will be one of us with the secret to love life and food the correct way!!
  20. There were women in my building who had WLS and some came back after 2 weeks. They all have desk jobs and looked extremely tired for a month. I had the Sleeve and went back after 4 weeks but half days for 8 days (4 sick days). Maybe you can do half days for the 3rd week and see how you feel. You will be tired!!!
  21. I didn't think they could do much.... put back my stomach? LOL Glad to know that I'm not the only one with nutty NUTS!!

    Surgery yesterday

Welcome to the other side! You need rest in the beginning but walk if gas attacks you!!! You will feel horrible for 2 days and then start feeling better after that - get some tissue to handle the crying... I thought I would never stop. If you can stand it, walk for 10 minutes every hour.
