  1. I told a certain friend I had the surgery done only because she had been harping on me to go out to dinner and drinks almost everyday! Big mistake cuz she is so annoying, I'm only 2 months post op and she keeps asking me how skinny am I ? And when I do run into her she wants me to take my coat off and twirl cuz she wants to see how skinny I am.. I'm like damn, there is no magic wand I don't become instantly skinny!! Ugh just go away please! It's why I don't tell anyone!
  2. 2 months post op went from a 10w to 9.5 reg ...yay!!
  3. I'm upping my workout goal from 3 hours to 4 hours , I'm adding a Zumba class at least once a week. I hope to be up to 5 hours by 3/1
  4. I took a week. I have a desk job, I just had to remember to get up every so often and walk , also had to remember to keep drinking water. I think going back after a week was too soon, it wasn't till the second week that I started feeling like myself and could remember to walk and sip
  5. Huge family dinners lots of pasta and wine. Eating out at least 3 or 4 times a week , app dinner dessert more wine.. Basically just eating whatever I wanted and not realizing how big I really was ..
  6. I've been eating eggs since the all liquid stage ended and never had a problem. Hard boil, scrambled and egg salad.. You won't know what agrees with you until you try it ????
  7. I also told the hernia story . I had my sleeve done 11/31 , about a month before that I started telling coworkers I need to be on a high protein low carb diet cuz of blood pressure etc.. Since I've been on diets before along with all the other women that work here, I was able to pull it off, especially after the new year everybody is always on a diet so I just blended in. I had lost 72 pounds on WW a few years back so losing this weight again they won't think nothing of it ... Only this time it will be permanently off !! I'm not sure of the reactions or comments I would've received if I told about the WLS but I personally just feel it's less stressful and drama free ????
  8. They have been a godsend to me. No matter what chewables or melt I used I would gag. I go for blood work next month I'll keep u posted if I was lacking any vitamin
  9. My knee gave out, I fell and cracked some ribs. I couldn't get up, it was at a party, I was so embarrassed, it took 2 big guys to get me up. That was my last straw.. But I've been looking into surgery for the last 2 years, sick of fat pictures, sick of not being able to walk far before out of breath, sick of clothes shopping in plus sizes, just plain sick of looking and feeling fat and tired.. Sleeved on 11/30 very excited about my changes so far ????
  10. Hi I'm Christina.. I have 3 beautiful daughters and 4 wonderful grandchildren. I work for the town I live in as their budget officer. I have lived in this town for 27 years, I was married into it but now have been divorced for the past 3 years. I now have a very supportive and hard working boyfriend. We have been rehabbing an old farmhouse for the last 2 years, we just starting living there this past October full time. Love my life except the weight. I have been looking into WLS for the past 2 years, when my insurance changed recently it was now or never. I was sleeved 11/30 so far have lost 35 # . It's had its challenges but for the most part it's been exciting for me. I'm so glad I found this site and to know I have support when ever I need it !
  11. I use patches from patchmd.com my NUT told me about it. I would gag on the vitamins I just stopped taking them, now I just stick a small patch on the back of my shoulders each morning.

  18. Wow I'm so glad I'm not alone. My daughter and I had our sleeve 6 weeks ago. She has no problem with food going down , me one the hand, everything gets stuck. I really try to eat slow and count 30 times but still gets stuck.. Good to know it eventually will get better
  19. Thank you both for the awesome advice!! I never think to start my water as soon as I get up and while I'm getting ready, that's 90 minutes lost right there. And I'm going to try the bigger gulps, prior to surgery I was used to downing a 16oz bottle in minutes , now I'm so paranoid about just taking sips I haven't tried to just take more in. Thanks again !!
  20. Sleeved on 11/30 lost 25p since surgery. My dr wants me to drink 64oz of fluids NOT including my shakes. I have 2 shakes a day 1 yougert for snack and 3oz of protein for dinner. I can only get up to 48oz of water a day and that's if I'm lucky. I feel like there is not enough time in the day to drink all that water. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how they get all their water in?
