  6. I'm doing okay. I did have a hernia repair along with the sleeve so I was in more pain than normal. I'm doing okay except I'm finding it super hard to get down actual good. I'm hoping it's because my stomach is still swollen.

  9. Lol Dr. Zane is super chill and he won't Care that you gained a couple pounds. Tell him Jenine wood referred you to him. Lol
  10. I'm almost 1 week post surgery and am in the full liquid phase. I'm dying. I can't handle any more sweet protein or soup. Just the thought is making me nauseous...does anyone have any suggestions?? I don't know how I will make it another week.
  11. I had Dr. Zane and congrats on the consult! Dr Mun is supposed to be awesome...I just know he is stricter with the preop weight loss and I didn't lose enough so I went with Dr Zane. He was a little abrupt at first but then he warmed up to me. Everything went okay....I'm in a lot of pain and feeling a bit down but I'm hoping to get over it really soon.

  13. No I don't mind. I will probably be on instagram posting pics and giving updates. If you have instagram I'm vsg_jay.
  14. As far as the education center...it wasn't anything. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Basically they gave me pamphlets, took my blood again. That is pretty much it. Yes I'm on liquids since yesterday. I'm waiting for a call today to get my surgery time.
  15. Tomorrow is the day!! I'm freaking out actually...lol I'm trying super hard not to get too nervous.

  17. I go in today for me pre-op education center appointment. Does anyone know what they do and how long it takes? I already had my preop with the surgeon. Thanks!
  18. Oh wow 40 pounds! I hope I lose that much. How was recovery after the surgery? Were you in a lot of pain?
  19. Wait what? That is so strange! I didn't have to get birth control or go to the OB. It is so weird how everyone's experience is so different.
  20. It would probably be better for me to do liquid diet for 2 weeks. Honestly, I'm thinking of doing it anyway. Or at least try to mostly just protein shakes. Mentally, I think that is better prep for what is to come. I'm also just trying not to have the last meal mentality. lol

  22. My doctor is only giving me 2 days of liquid diet. But I probably should try to do a preop diet. What are you drinking?
  23. @@thegentleoso I guess it depends on your surgeon. They all have different rules. You're at West LA right?
  24. As far as the surgeon is concerned...all I need to do is be on a liquid diet 2 days prior to surgery and then the night before no liquid or food. For my prep I'm ordering/buying everything I need. Vitamins, baby utensils, gas x strips, dry mouth stuff, non slip socks, Protein powder, sugar free Jello, sugar free pudding, Soups, Isopure (for the first few days after surgery), low sodium chicken broth, greek yogurt, sugar free Popsicle, firming cream, and bite tip Water bottle. I'm probably over doing it, but I want to be prepared and have everything go as smoothly as possible. I've been researching everything so I'm super prepared.
  25. Doc appointment went well and I have my surgery date, May 3rd. So only 2 weeks until my surgery. I'm super nervous now.
