  1. I had my 5th visit Friday and counting down the days until my last visit May 13th! Three weeks of waiting with no communication after jumping through all the hoops must be soooo frustrating. My only advice is to blow them up every day and be super annoying. Lol
  2. @Harsha....so happy for you!! Keep us posted!!
  3. Just scheduled my last visit for 5/13! We are VERY CLOSE!!!
  4. My doc told me they have had a couple denials based upon weight gain lately which makes me nervous. I'm on month 5 and I've gained 10 pounds [emoji51]
  5. My surgeons office has a staff member who deals with the insurance companies. She did call me back and said its 6 visits AND 6 months. Darn!! She said I'm looking at mid-June. So bummed! [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]
  6. P. S. I know for a fact that my surgeon won't schedule until official approval. So jealous of those who get a date prior. It's hard to plan.
  7. I put a call in to my surgeons insurance person this morn with the following questions: 1. Is it 6 visits or 6 months (in my case it makes a difference of 3 weeks). 2. Will they except my gym and weight watchers records for my weight history. 3. Approximate time length between approval and surgery. 4. Do they need anything else from me or my PCP. I'll let you know what she says when she calls me back.
  8. I can't really demand anything either because I have my last visit in May but I have to pinpoint a date so I can plan for time off etc. From what I've been reading BCBS is pretty fast so I'm hoping for a late May surgery.
  9. When I go on 4/11 I'm going to demand a date or at least some idea.
  10. I would be on them too! My surgeon won't schedule until my insurance approves so I won't have a date until the very last minute. It's killing me!!
  11. Yes! Do you Facebook?
  12. Wow Betterme38! We are on the exact same track! My 5th visit is also next week (4/11) and then the last one in May. All my pre-op testing is done. I'm getting SO excited!!
  13. Hope the time goes by fast for you and the ulcers go away ASAP!!
  14. Just had mine Friday. It took 15 min and was NOTHING. I was a nervous wreck for no reason. That was my very last pre-op test. Two more nutritionist appointments and my file gets submitted to BCBS. Praying for a May surgery! Good luck ladies!
  15. Just started my 6 month pre-op requirements this month. Met my surgeon, did sleep study and blood work. Scheduled gall bladder ultrasound, psych evaluation, etc. BCBS insurance. Toledo, Ohio. I'm praying for a May or June date! I only have a 38 BMI so I may not qualify if the study doesn't show apnea. Husband is convinced I have it though. Nice to meet other newbies!
