  1. For all of you Floridians, Telly and I will be meeting at the SAK comedy club on Thursday, July 6th, for their 8pm improv show. Here's the link to their website for the address and directions. http://www.sak.com/contentviewer.php?id=4&page=Directions
  2. Amy - even though I'm not participating in this month's challenge, I appreciate you starting the thread. I will still weigh in on Wednesdays and update everyone. BTW - my stats should be the following: Tricia K. - H 283/ S 274/ J 216/ G 160/ C 191 (-83 lbs total, -1 this week) Thanks! :biggrin1: My July weight loss goal is 10 pounds. And, here is my beginning of July pic.
  3. Thanks, niche. *blush* I felt like mixing it up for a while. I'm sure the face will be back at some point. Plans for today: jog in place for 12 minutes exercise ball routine - abdominals 150 toe (calf) raises Abs of Steel warm up 500 leg lifts - combo of side, front, back & inner
  4. I, too, fall from the Chestnut tree.
  5. My surgeon had no restrictions when it came to resuming sexual activity. He basically said that when I'm ready to go for it. I do recommend placing your hand firmly over the port incision site while in the missionary position. You'll understand why if you don't. :grouphug: Have fun!
  6. I won't be participating in next month's challenge either. Like Telly, I'll pop in now and then to say Hi and give a quick update.
  7. My surgeon wrote the prescriptions for the pre-op tests in a way that my insurance would cover them all. I believe they were coded for fatigue. You may wish to ask Dr. Spivak to do the same.
  8. I had to provide a urine sample immediately upon being admitted to the hospital for the required pregnancy test.
  9. Congratulations, Jacqui!!
  10. Would you be referring to moi? :biggrin1:
  11. Congratulations, Josephine!!
  12. Looking good, Wheetsin & pfunkem. Here are some photos taken a few minutes ago...

  14. It's amazing, isn't it? It's like we've gained about 8 years of equity in less than a year. I am still in a bit of shock over the appraisal amount. The mosquitoes aren't any worse there than they are here in Hammond. We have friends that live less than a mile from the new house and we're over there quite a bit. I don't notice any difference. But, if it does start getting bad, you better believe I'll be stocking up on it.
  15. Diane - I had this happen to me on this board as well. I called out the person in question openly in a thread and it stopped, immediately. I hope it stops for you soon.
  16. Wow...this is becoming quite the event! As soon as I get some sort of schedule out of my husband, I'll have a better idea of when and where. Telly mentioned something about dinner and a comedy club, which is right up our alley. I'm thinking Friday night would be best but, again, I need a definite schedule from the hubby. We should all exchange cell numbers so that we can keep in touch. Telly and I have already done so.
  17. Thank you very much. The home we're currently in is 1600 sq. ft. living. This new house is 3000 sq. ft. living but approx. 4000 sq. ft. total counting the carports, porches and pool house. I'm hoping it won't be a hassle to clean. Thankfully, except for the bedrooms upstairs, the floors are stained concrete or hardwood, which I've found to be easier to clean. And, thanks for the hint!
  18. LOL...that's ok. Yes, next Monday we're going to Eustis, which is about an hour away from Orlando. We'll be arriving late in the evening but we'll be there until Sunday morning. Where are you? If you're close, maybe we can coordinate everyone meeting at the same time.
  19. Funny - thanks! We're in love with this house too. I walked in and my jaw dropped. I would love to have people visit. We don't know that many people here. Come on up! Meow - I'm sorry you're not able to view the pictures. It might be because you're on dial up. I've uploaded the pics to my server and they're showing for (almost) everyone else. Diane - LOL...that would be fun! I would have to run it by the dear husband but I would love to start one at my house! Paula - my husband posted photos on another message board and other people knew it was in Louisiana as well. I'm not originally from here so I guess I don't understand how people can tell. In any event, I'm madly in love with it. I can't wait to move in and enjoy the house, pool, land, etc. The man selling the house is single and was originally leasing the house with option to buy. He exercised his right to purchase shortly after Katrina because he had no where else to go. He never wanted to own it but really had no choice at the time. So now he basically wants to unload it because he already found another place to buy. He said that before Katrina, it appraised for $40k more than what he's selling it to us for. We're hoping that the appraisal we're having done on it shows at LEAST a 10-11% increase AFTER Katrina. BTW - our current home recently (last week) appraised for 44% more than what we bought it for last year.
  20. Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!
