  1. Just when I finally saw the scale move... bam.. the next morning it said two more pounds. Ugh Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App Gaining is also part of losing. During my stall I went up two pounds too. But I didn't let that discourage me of my ultimate goal. I have another 60 lbs to lose and this is just the begging. Hang in there. Keep tracking your meals and Water intake. Don't cheat on your meals and your stall will break. I promise.
  2. I usually add unflavored protein to my regular protein and I can get more for one bang. I do one scoop of unflavored isopure with one premier and you get 59 grams right there. Sometimes I can't finish it. I'm trying to hold on to my hair and keep my calories low with high protein intake.
  3. Hello everyone. My stall was for two weeks. Though my fat percentage kept going down my weight wouldn't. Then one morning I woke up and didn't feel like weighing myself but I did and bam. 2 lbs less. I'm happy that that's over. I've lost 24 lbs total now. Looking forward to losing much more
  4. I'm only 3 weeks post op and I feel like I'm hungry all the time because It's that time of the month soon. I don't always give in but I can't wait for this to pass. I've been on the same weight for about 10 days. Hate it. I've also been having tons of mood swings. I feel bad for the hubby sometimes
  5. I'm April 18th too. I've been doing do good I've been on solids for Almost 10 days Now. Don't know if it's coincidence but have been stalling on the weight loss. I've lost 22 lbs since the preop so I'm happy about that. I get really bored drinking the protein in the morning. It takes all morning to be able to finish. Some days I feel like I can eat more that others. I've gotten scared already because I feel I'm eating so much more than the first day. I know I won't be able to eat like I used to but sometimes fear and panic kicks in. I'm almost on that time of the month so I've been craving chocolate - but haven't consumed it. Maybe that's also why I'm stalling and having tons of mood swings.
  6. I got stuck too about 2 weeks after surgery. I've been hanging on to the same weight for about a week now. Though my weight is the same my fat percentage has gone down. Also it's going to be that time of the month soon so that will make me rests in water. I've been feeling 'hungry' and I think is because if that. I used to get real hungry and crave chocolate about a week before so I think it's all that. I know the scale will move again. I've been able to fit in clothes I hadn't been able to fit in 3 years so I'm happy. Hang in there. Keep you nutrition on point and it will pass
  7. I started my preop on 4/4 weighing in 210 lbs. VSG 4/18 and today 4/23 I am 193.7. [emoji85] Thats a lost of 17.2 pounds in 19 days. I can't believe my eyes. I weight myself this morning without my glasses and I was so certain it said 199 and I said to myself: there it is. I'm gaining weigh. When I got off and looked closer and saw 193.7 I was shocked. I mean happy but it just feels unreal. I've been struggling with my weight my whole life and now it's literally just melting off me. The doctor and the staff always said to me: you are going to do great. This is just what you need. And I always smiled back but with some disbelieve. Today I can say it's been the best decision I've ever made! And I'm not even a week post op!
  8. Home today. Minimal pain. Just felt sick when I took liquid Tylenol for the pain. Man. It had sugar. That made me feel sick for like 2 hours. Never doing that. As much as I hate it I'll stick to the oxi. Some gas but not too bad. Besides the little soreness in my stomach I feel normal. VSG: 4/18/16 HW: 225 SW:198 GW:125-130
  9. Hello everyone. I am 12 hours post op. Still at the hospital. Besides some pain manageable with pain meds that's it. No nausea or vomiting. My doctor said surgery took all of 35 minutes. I remember when the put the oxygen mask on and the I woke up in recovery. When they told me it was done I didnt believe them because I was feeling too well. So I looked under my gown and there they were. 6 little scars. Looking gorgeous. No bleeding or bruising. I can't explain to you guys how happy I am that I made this decision. Have not regret any of it. Sooooo many good things to come! Preop weight: 210 Surgery weight: 198.2 Goal weight: 125-130

  13. Almost there... 4 more days. This diet has become so much easier this week. I barely think about food now. At nights is where I struggle the most. I just miss chewing food. Not weigh myself until surgery day on Monday. Last Tuesday I was 93.4 kg at the preop. 205.4 lbs. started preop at 210

  18. Hello everyone I've been MIA for a while. But today finally after 8 weeks of submitting my paperwork to the insurance company and being on the pre-op diet since last Monday: my surgery was approved Thursday! I'm scheduled for April 18th! So happy. Finally this is really happening! After going back and forth with my insurance company it's all good! It's like I still can't believe it! Woohoo.
  19. Yay!!!!!! Congratulations! You will be so happy. Dieting is sooooooo much easier now! Thank you so much!! I'm so excited!!
  20. That is awesome. Congrats. I'm the 18th and just got confirmed yesterday so I understand! Good luck and keep us posted!
  21. Thank you. They had no issues with my weight or co morbidities. They kept claiming they never got the letter from the surgeon attesting that I did counseling and nutrition as require by them. Then they had a peer to peer review with the Doctor, that had to be scheduled. After that they sent in the letter and it got sent to the 'wrong' department. When the case manager called on Tuesday they told her the only way they would mark the case as urgent was if I called. Which I did but it took two days and some pressure for them to do it. I'm just glad that is all done. Happy to have 5 days down on pre-op. Since I started even before it was approved. [emoji16][emoji16]
  22. Thank you so much For the support. I'm not a fan of the pre op diet. But hey, it's for a great thing so I suck it up every day. And every day I go thru it is a day less I have to do! [emoji122]????
  23. Hello everyone I've been MIA for a while. But today finally after 8 weeks of submitting my paperwork to the insurance company and being on the pre-op diet for 4 days: my surgery was approved! I'm scheduled for April 18th! So happy. Finally this is really happening! After going back and forth with my insurance company it's all good! It's like I still can't believe it! I was in the group because we were suppose to schedule in Feb. it didn't happen but now it finally did. Woohoo. Since you all are a few months ahead any suggestions on what to expect? My husband is really nervous about surgery but he usually is - even when I had my c-section. I don't want to get nervous now as I've been waiting for this for sooooo long.
  24. Congrats. I started Dec 10th and submitted Feb 17th. Finally after a lot of dealing with my insurance I got approved today! April 18th is the big day!!! We can be surgery buddies
