  1. I agree about being so thirsty - the ice chips aren't cutting it! My pain isn't too bad, at least as bad as I expected, but I don't know how much it would hurt without the meds.
  2. How did it go? I'm in my room - surgery was at 7:30. So far so good. My pain is coming almost entirely from the gas.
  3. In the waiting room at the hospital. Good luck everyone!
  4. Getting tomorrow too. I feel nervous and just want to get to it. Worried more about pain and being able to get all my fluids and stuff like that than the surgery itself.
  5. Oh my gosh I know how you feel! My stepson and husband have had colds this week and I'm just praying I don't get it! I'm taking Airborne. Hope that does the trick!
  6. My surgery is the 14th also. I'm excited and also a tiny bit nervous. I've been so looking forward to this and now that it's almost here the gravity of what's about to happen has hit. But I have no doubts and am looking forward to Monday. Good luck to everyone!
  7. Congratulations! Glad to hear it went well. :-)
  8. Good luck to all the March 1 sleevers! Please keep us posted on how you're doing.
  9. From the time of my first appointment with the weight loss center through my final pre-op appointment with my surgeon they have weighed me every time, and emphasized if I gained any weight during that process my insurance company would not approve my surgery.
  10. I know this is ultimately a question for my surgeon but I'd like to know how others have dealt with the issue of taking medications the day of surgery. I'm currently taking two medications for depression and anxiety and I can't go more than about half a day after missing a dose before I get some very nasty withdrawal symptoms. I'm pretty worried about this. It will be difficult enough to deal with the pain etc. of surgery without having to go through withdrawal as well.
  11. I don't understand how there can even be anything to poop when you're only on a liquid diet. Anybody know why this is?
  12. L.o.v.e. - got my date, it's March 14!
  13. Bphillips329 I'm the 14th too!
  14. InnerSurferGirl, I have lymphedema too in one leg. Have you found that it improves any with weight loss?
  15. Just got my date - March 14!
  16. Just did my last NUT class - my patient rep says surgery should be 1st or 2nd week of March. Can't wait!
  17. Congratulations! That sounds like a good omen.
  18. hobbesbobbes, congrats on having a surgery date! I have my last NUT this Wednesday. Can't wait to get my surgery date! I have Dr. Katz. How long did you have to wait for a surgery date once you got insurance approval?
  19. Hoping to have it at the end of February. I have one more NUT class and then my paperwork is off to the insurance company. How about you?
  20. Is anyone from the Reading area having surgery at the Reading Health System Weight Management Center?
  21. SSW v2.0, who is doing your surgery?
