  1. I too had a similar situation well into my first month after surgery not feeling full no throwing up . Things definitely changed when I started solid foods exspecially meat (chicken, beef). Liquids are easier on the body and only stay in the stomach for 15-20 mins where food sits and digests for a bit longer. You will get to know your body and what you can an can't eat, how much and what puts you over the edge. I'm three and a half months out and I am still learning what I can eat. My nutritionist said sometimes you cant tolerate meat till 6 months. So as of right now I am a practicing to be a vegetarian. Sent from my Pixel XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. I too have Medicaid. It took me a little over a year from when I started with calling to make my first appointment to surgery date. I had to do 6 months of nutritionist and psychology. I had to have a ekg, edg, sleep study, and about 16 vials of blood taken. You have to see the medical doctor and she has to approve you for surgery and the surgeon. The place I went was Loyola and they make sure that they have everything they need before they submit to Medicaid. They very rarely have any denials. I did call and check on my test when I had them done to make sure they had received them and some of them did take awhile to be in putted in my chart. I leave out of town so I had majority of my test in my town and then the faxed the results. Good luck!!! Sent from my Pixel XL using BariatricPal mobile app

    Postop - May 9th Sleevers

Sorry accidentally hit send and wasn't done. Lol. I am May 5th. My water/ liquid intake is good but my protein could be better. Protein for me does not go down very well as I can only eat an ounce at a time then my stomach hurts. I will sometimes end up throwing it back up. Protein also makes me very sleepy and sluggish. Anyone else have this problem? I have dropped two pant sizes almost 3. But definitely have lost inches. Feeling great overall. Sent from my Pixel XL using BariatricPal mobile app

Just got sleeved, though gas pain sucks ass.

Congratulations on the next chapter in your life. The gas pain for me was not pleasant also. But mine did not start till about 4 days later. Try also warm compresses along with your gas x. It won't take the pain all away but help lessen the pain. Mine last about 2 1/2 weeks. I am one month out and feel great. Hang in there!! Sent from my Pixel XL using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any May Sleevers?

I am 8 days out and i too have been hungry. I told my np to my surgeon and she said at least for me it is my digest track is waking up and makes my stomach sound like i am hungry. I get that but i think it is more than that. I had during the week started pureed because i felt like i was starving. She said that was fine since the guidelines are guidelines and if you can tolorate the next phase it was fine. Everybody is different when it comes to the healing process. I am definitely curious in what your doc says.

  22. I too have had high blood pressure since I was 20 and I still needed an EDG, no ct scan. But I did have an ekg, sleep study. But every doctor is different in what they require. Good luck Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  23. Sounds like you need a trip to the women doc to find out why you have had aunt flow for so long. That is part of why you have very little energy. You might be anemic due to loss of blood. Might have to increase your Protein and talk to your doc about it. Might have to up your Iron Vitamins. Definitely call your doc. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

    My plateau

Congratulations on the 65lbs you have lost. Sounds like you are at a plateau, need to change what you are eating. Eat more Protein and less carbs. Try and weigh yourself once a week since your weight does fluctuate daily, so you don't get frustrated. Maybe you can look up some protein Snacks like hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese, etc they will keep you fuller longer. I am sure this group could give some ideas for healthy choices for a college student always on the run. Not sure how active meaning exercise, but might need to do a little more. Definitely check in with your nutritionist. Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
