I am in Michigan I have 2 surgeons to pick from, Dr. Baker and Dr. Nagel from grand health partners of Grand Rapids. That is if all go's well when they submit my paper work to horizon.

That's good news I have Horizen BCBS of NJ as well, I'm only on month 4 of my medically supervised diet. My bmi was 40 with no other conditions. I'm nervous they will deny me. I have lost 21lbs so far. How much did you lose? Did you happen to have and other medical conditions?

I also have Horizon BCBSNJ, do you know if they took your initial weight in and Bmi? When I weighed in my BMI was at 40. But since then I've lost 12 pounds getting a little nervous they might not approve me. As I don't have any weight related issues other than being overweight

Just wondering how things with insurance approval. My initial weight in my BMI was 40, since then I've lost around 12 pounds my BMI now down to 37.9. Fingers crossed I will still be approved.
