  1. Had my final weight in today, down another 4lbs. For a total of 30lbs. Now comes the waiting find out what the insurance company will say. I have jumped through all the hoops and filled out all the paper work. Fingers crossed [emoji1317]
  2. @@betterme38 I am so inpatient! Luckily I have 3 kids and we are supper busy with soccer all week with games on Saturdays and Sunday's. I'm hopping it go's fast. I have Horizon BCBS of New Jersey.
  3. I am 5'9" and a healthily Bmi is between 125-170! I would like to see 150-160 we shall see...
  4. Good luck! I have my last weight I June 13. I can't hardly wait!
  5. So I talked to my surgeons office today and the lady who schedules the surgeries told me that they had been submitting to the ins company's after six consecutive weigh in... But most patients were getting denied because you have to finish the sixth month with a last weigh in. So June 14th is my official last medically supervised weigh in. Then they can submit my paperwork to the insurance....
  6. That's smart! When are you looking to submit your info the the insurance company?
  7. Totally, and to boot the people who are approving and denying are people just like you and me no medical background what so ever. (Well maybe your a dr. I'm not)
  8. Nyteacher125 I totally agree, you jump through all these hoops and they still might not approve you!
  9. Laura Lopez, Gezz I hope not! A year and a half that would suck! Good luck with your ins.
  10. @@Donna415 I was thinking of calling my insurance and asking again. I'm not sure why they said that. Maybe they misunderstood what I was saying. I called my surgeons office today, I'm waiting on a call back. Hopefully it dose only take a day for approval:) and hopefully the lady at my surgeons office was wrong[emoji52]
  11. Good luck, the six months really do fly by[emoji6]
  12. I met with my surgeon December 10 but also weighed in with my primary doctor in December. This is my sixth month of weighing in. I will jump through the hoops it will be worth it in the long run.
  13. Today is my last weigh in of my six-month medically supervised diet...or so I thought. I called my surgeons office and told them that my last weigh-in was coming soon. They told me that the insurance likes to see you finish the program and weigh in one last time. Really!? If you say 6 months then it should be 6 months, not 7! Grrr[emoji35]
  14. I love my trek, I totally took the old seat off and exchanged it for a little bit bigger seat! I bought an Xcalibar 8, my highest weight was 270. Good Luck[emoji468]????[emoji467]????[emoji468]????[emoji467]????
  15. I have only told my husband my mom and a few close friends. I told my dad (whom I am very close with) but he just couldn't understand why I would do that to myself, after all if I just eat a little less and exercise a little more(his words). Then to top it all off he asked if I had told my grandparents!? Who are extremely judgmental! I decided right then and there I wasn't telling one more person. Don't get me wrong I love my dad and grandparents very much they just happen to be very judgey people. So I waited a few months to call and tell my Dad I didn't qualify after all. To which he replied "see I told you." Now I am on my 5th weight in out of 6 and looking to have surgery in late June beginning of July. It helps that my dad and grandparents live out of state, so I just keep talking about how much I have been working out. Maybe one day I'll tell them... Maybe not[emoji6]
  16. Me too! I met with my surgeon yesterday, I told him I was nervous they might not approved me. he looked over my charts and was like no you'll be approved. I still don't want to get my hopes up, but my fingers are crossed [emoji846]
  17. Such good advice! I'm getting sleeved in June (pending insurance approval). I have lost weight in the pass and alway kept my "fat" cloths, I have never thought about them as a safety net. I did I alway kept them just in case I need them. New way of thinking for me[emoji846]
