  1. I would not stockpile.... You will be able to get back to what you used to do after a week, ( it took me two days) you can go to the store and get what you need... dont stockpile because you might not like something and you will be stuck with it... Life will be normal

  4. I had the band also, and it slipped, my weight was down and my bmi was under 28. I was approved for the sleeve. I was very nervous and was did not want to lose to much weight. I had the surgeon make my sleeve bigger than most, he did. Now I wish I just let him make it normal.... The sleeve is sooooooo different than the band..... best move I did was having the sleeve

  8. I had the lap band it had it removed after 5 years, the good news is that it did work for me and I lost about 50 pounds. Once the band slipped i became eligible for the sleeve, my BMI was under 28 when i had it.. if you are self pay you should be able to find a Dr. to sleeve you, I lot of Dr's are not doing the band anymore.

  10. I am 6 weeks post op Does anyone else get that burning in the throat while sleeping? I am taking dexilant but that is not helping as I wake up with a score throat every morning…. Is this something from the sleeve?
  11. Had the band for 5 years, it worked GREAT... than it slipped and I went to the sleeve
  12. I had no per op diet either, i asked my Dr. about it because I was concerned food might get stuck in the staples, he said as long as you dont eat after 12 pm the food will be gone from the stomach.
  13. Did you keep the weight off after the band was removed? was your BMI 30 at the time you had the sleeve? i can not believe the insurance approved it 2 yrs latter, thats great!!!
  14. It's funny, I had virtually no effects from the surgery, I had the doctor make the stomach a little bigger than usual, because my BMI was 29 at the time of the surgery I did not want to lose too much weight. I felt tremendous have no restrictions pain

  19. I'm curious to know how you did with the psych evaluation, I thought this would have all come out then. Also I'm not sure if you would have met the criteria with a 29 BMI,leads me to wonder if the doctor submitted in accurate information to get you approved, fraud
