  1. Yes, I found a bariatric doc in the Myrtle Beach, SC area that would do my fills. Dr. Balder of Advanced Surgical Associates in Conway, SC (about a half an hour from Myrtle Beach) has been doing my fills. It has been a good experience. Good luck!
  2. I had lap-band surgery about four weeks ago. I'm back to eating fairly normally again with some exceptions. I was wondering if it's OK for me to start taking Actonel (for thinning of the bones) again? Does anyone take Actonel? If so, how soon did you resume taking it after your surgery? I'm a little nervous about it because Actonel is kind of hard on the stomach. Thank you!
  3. That is wonderful! Congratulations! What's your secret?
  4. That's wonderful! Keep up the good work!
  5. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC. I'll be having surgery in Mexico on Apr. 22. Does anyone know of any doctors that will do fills and follow-up care in the Myrtle Beach area, hopefully within an hour or two? There's a Fills USA in NC but it's about four hours away from where I live. Thank you for any suggestions you can make!
  6. I will be having surgery on Apr 22 in Mexico. Does anyone have experience with getting a loan for surgery in Mexico? What kind of interest rates are being charged? Was it difficult to get the loan? What financing company did you go with? Thank you!
  7. Do the lenders mind if you're having the surgery done in Mexico?
  8. List of Surgery Dates Not sure if this is the best way to start a surgery date post, but we can try. Copy/Paste the ENTIRE LAST post into your post, add your name next to the date of your surgery and repost it for the next person. April 1-- April 2-- April 3--GiGiRN April 4-- April 5-- April 6-- April 7-- April 8-- April 9---Natasha April 10-Turler April 11 April 12 April 13 April 14 April 15 April 16 April 17 April 18 April 19 April 20 April 21 April 22 - Pat (Tricia) April 23 April 24 April 25 April 26 April 27 April 28 April 29 April 30
  9. I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Rodriguez in Juarez on Apr. 22. I saw your post that he was your surgeon. How did it go? Were you happy with the experience?
  10. Just wondering how these people actually managed to weigh less than their goal weight. That seems like a major accomplishment to me. I want to find out how they did it. Do you have any good advice for me? I'm scheduled for sugery on Apr 22.
  11. You are below your goal weight. That's awesome! I love to see that! There's hope for me, too. To what do you attribute your amazing success in losing the weight? Thank you!
  12. I am allergic to most artificial sweeteners. Are there any protein drinks that don't contain artificial sweeteners? Thank you!
  13. Thank you for the advice, Grace! You certainly have done well with your lap band. You're under your target weight. That's fantastic! To what do you attribute your success?
  14. I'm scheduled for surgery on Apr 22. I'm single and won't have anyone to run errands for me when I get home, so I want to be prepared. Does anyone have any suggestions for items I will need to have on hand for the first week or two post op? Thanks!
  15. My surgery is scheduled for Apr 22 and I find I'm already starting to overeat in anticipation. I guess it's a last hurrah before I have to get serious. It doesn't make much sense really, but I feel the same thing coming on. You're not alone!
