  1. You might need to have your iron checked. That was happening to me pre surgery and I found out I was anemic. I had to take iron supplements but I was able to get my iron to a normal level and it doesn't happen to me anymore.
  2. Goddess977- I'm Judy Gish Tako
  3. My Surgeon said I could have caffeine after 6 weeks post-op. So, I did. I use sugar-free creamer when I make it at home or work. When I go to Starbucks I have a tall skinny latte either with sugar-free caramel, sf hazelnut, or sf vanilla. At least the nonfat milk has Protein in it. I usually only have 1 a day and it takes me a long time to drink it. It doesn't hurt my stomach but I am on prilosec 2x per day so I'm sure that helps! I notice that I don't really "need" the caffeine in the morning but I like it and I don't feel the crash in the afternoon like before surgery. I didn't have any withdrawals during the 6 weeks off of caffeine so at least that. But I agree, every surgeon has different instructions. Oh, and when I did start to reintroduce caffeine, I ordered half-caff drinks.
  4. Sleeved 11/12- HW 273, SW 227, CW 190 I am having some of the same problems most of you are having. Not enough water, some things getting stuck, and eating too fast. This whole new way of eating, digesting, feeling full, feeling hungry, is such a life change. But seeing the results is so worth it.
  5. I too am 10 days post op. I had bad pain and nausea as well in recovery. Since being home, I've had gas pains, uncomfortableness drinking water, incision pain, stomach cramping, weakness, light headedness, more inside stomach pain. It does get better each day but sometimes it feels like 1 foot forward, 2 steps back. It seems like the last 3 days I've been dealing with emotional stuff. Like others who have posted, I think part of it's the food restriction. I felt some regret on and off. Not full blown regret though. It passes. I think everyone has their own individual healing period with similar issues. You are not alone and I feel like we are lucky to be able to talk to each other freely in this support group. Hang in there. I keep telling myself that I did this for the greater good of getting healthy and living a longer life. This part is only temporary.
  6. Pea523- I hope you feel better. I didn't do well with the anesthesia either. You will start to feel better especially day 4. I'm on day 6 post op and feel much better than the first 3 days. Good luck and hang in there!
  7. Hang in there sleeved11/13/15. I haven't been feeling well either and I was sleeved on the 12th. It does get better. Just remember this is temporary and we are in our way to our new life.

  14. How did anyone take their anxiety/depression meds right after surgery? Did you have to open the capsule and put it in water or something?
  15. I only have to do a pre-op diet the day before surgery.
  16. Nov. 12th for me! I'm in Los Angeles.
  17. I also have been using Premier Protein- chocolate, strawberries and cream, and vanilla. I like these as you don't have to mix- they are ready to drink. I've tried a few others that are powders and I haven't found any that I like. Next on my list to try are Quest ( I like their protein bars), proteinmilkshakebar.com, and unjury.
  18. Hi vsgbeccab, I'm having my sleeve surgery on 11/12/15 also! I'm in so cal. Where are you?
