  1. Today is my mom's 70th bday party with food food and more food. This is going to be tough because I haven't told too many people about the nature of my surgery. They know I'm having something done. Wish me luck.
  2. Yes I am and I struggle everyday with it.
  3. I did this 2-3 weeks ago. Surgery is Oct 15 for me.
  4. When I went to mine they talked about the amount of food, fluid intake, told us to bring a baby spoon to the hospital, how long a person would be in the hospital, and the importance of vitamins and protein are. Hope this helps.
  5. Wow, I can relate to everyone. My first husband never complimented me when I lost weight, but when I put it back on he sure noticed. My now husband is my biggest enabler. I've told and asked him to help hold me accountable. What does he do, if I want pizza he says "ok" and orders it. I just smh and tell him "I can't eat that or you know I can't have that" men! Lol.
  6. I'm looking forward to next week for the most Part. I'm told I have to drink something to get cleaned out. Am NOT looking forward to that. Anyone been told to do this too?
  7. Glad to hear things went smoothly. I'm hoping for a smooth out come as I'm a weenie when it comes to pain. Lol
  8. Cervidae, what a great list of dos. I'm getting ready to have surgery Oct 15 and never thought of having a water bottle marked with 64oz or the gas x. Wish me luck! !
  9. Good luck with your "Overhaul". I get my new start next week. I too don't want this surgery because I love food. I've been struggling with the liquid diet. I've cheated more than I should, but yesterday was a new, new start for me. My biggest fear is never having the foods I love to eat anymore. I hope you have a smooth recovery. I'll be thinking of you and rest of our was buddies for October.

  13. My surgery is October 15. I'm a little nervous, but excited too. I have to admit I'm having stinking thinking at the moment. I'm thinking about the holidays and what I feel I'm going to miss out on. Anyone else thinking this way or is it just me?
