  1. Good luck everyone!
  2. Good luck @@Mildred Cox. Let us know how you're doing.
  3. @@1041mom I too have my struggles. Some days I don't drink enough water which causes my kidneys to hurt. I don't always get enough protein which causes me to get hungry sooner than I'd like. I struggle with cravings from time to time and I've gotten food stuck. On a place side, I'm losing weight, not as fast as I'd like, but still losing. To help with my chocolate cravings, I've found sugar free candy that helps. I only have one piece and I make it last. Hope you have more good days than bad. You've come to the right place.
  4. @@Mogwaicat I know what you mean about getting stuck. I've been there on more than one occasion all because I get to eating too fast. The pain is horrible and you'd think I'd learn, but I've always been a fast eater. Smh. @@60&goin4it thanks for the recipe. Have you tried it yet and does the vanilla shake make it taste different? I haven't tried the premier shakes yet and am scared I won't like it.
  5. Hi aunt Marilyn. February what is your surgery? This is a good grp.@@Mdale
  6. Today is a bad day for me. I'm craving anything and everything which is making me crabby. I am wishing I never did this surgery. I ate supper too fast and am now paying for it. Holidays are coming and I can only think of what I can't have. I did by country time light bc I hate water now than ever before. Anyone else struggling like I am or have struggled?
  7. @chelleb33 I have flavored water and I try to carry it with me every where. It feels like I'm constantly drinking. I have water next to my bed and drink in the middle of the night when I get up to the bathroom. Most times it's hard to get in the fluids, but I try. It's also hard for me to get in the protein as well. I drink a cinnamon roll protein shake which gives me 30 grams of protein first thing in the morning. Rest of the day is a struggle to get in the rest. I try to eat foods high in protein, but that isn't always the case. I hope you start to feeling better.
  8. @@395Ron Glad to hear you are home and on the road to recovery. I'm sorry you had to go through all of this and will continue to pray for a speedy recovery for you and your wife. You got this!
  9. I do drink in the middle of the night which helps some. I tend to forget about the amount I drink at night.
  10. I had gallstones already so I said,take it
  11. 3 oz times 24 hrs is 72oz yeah,that's not happening.
  12. My dr told me he was taking my gallbladder because after wls there is a bigger chance for problems with removing the gallbladder later on once wls was done.
  13. My dr says to sip 2-3 oz an hr.
  14. The only way I can get water I'm is taking bigger drinks. I have no pain with it,but I do struggle with getting 64oz. I know some days I starving and that's when I know I don't get enough protein in. I'm hoping by taking bigger drinks,I'm not stretching my new pouch. That's all I need is to fail at this too. I asked my dr if I could take bigger drinks and the reply I got was "I don't know, can you?" When it comes to eating I take smaller bites and chew until it almost dissolves. After a few min I just stop eating. I'm not necessarily full yet. What am I doing wrong? I fear I've stretched the pouch. On another note, I hope everything goes well for Ron and everyone else that is struggling.
  15. @@irishaggie I go once about 6 to 7 days then I have to drink miralax for a couple of days to get things going. I know I don't get enough water or protein so I'm drinking a cinnamon roll shake with 30 grams of protein hoping that helps with the hunger. I know I need to walk more and need to get out daily. I'm stuck in a rut and it's lasted for a while. I'm feeling like a big failure, and I have been telling myself "I can't even do this right"
  16. Today and yesterday I have been starving and I can't seem to get full. I had surgery Oct 15 and I don't remember finding my full point. I just stop eating after a few minutes. I'm supposed to get 68 protein and 64 water. That hasn't happened the last couple of days. Oh yeah, only allowed 600 calories a day. Today I'm making potato salad only using cauliflower. I also made chicken chilli yesterday so will have that tonight. I'm guessing not enough protein. The scale seemed stuck the last week and went up 3 pounds. Guessing it was from water. Today it went down 2 pounds. I'm really second guessing this new tool I've gained. SMH
  17. I had my surgery Oct 15 and had my gallbladder removed and a hernia repaired. Surgeon said they are a major fix later on if they needed to be removed or fixed. I had gallstones so it had to be done at same time. Good luck.
  18. @@CHELLB33 hope all goes well.
  19. Think I'm getting crabby too. I'm also back to taking a laxative, which I don't understand. Everything was working fine until last week. I also can't seem to get full. I'm a hot mess. Lol
  20. I'm also at a stand still. In fact the scale moved up 3 pounds but I blame it on water that I'm drinking. I know I'm not going over my 600 calorie intake, do not sure what is going. I'm 3 weeks out since surgery and at 13 lost.
  21. I'm still struggling with liquid and protein. I have however started to drink a protein shake in the morning which gives me 32 grams od protein and 10 oz of water. Rest of the day I'm sucking on a water bottle. I no longer sip as I can take bigger drinks. I'll be 3 weeks post op this coming Thursday. So taking bigger drinks helps out some what. Thanks for all the feedback.
  22. Well I saw the Surgeon today for the first time since surgery. I lost 13 pounds since surgery on top of the 11 pounds I gained while in the hospital. Dr never said good job or anything. He did point out that I needed to drink a min. Of 64 oz of Water a day. How does everyone else get in that much water in a day? I also need to increase my Protein to 60 grams a day. Help, I'm struggling getting all of the requirements in. They did move me to stage 3. That's a plus. However, no rice, bread or Pasta. My next appointment isn't until Dec 8th. Thanks for listening.
  23. I have been craving normal food and this afternoon I ate the insides of a chicken case a dea (sp) along with a few chips and cheese. That hit the spot and seemed to have filled me up. It took me 30 min to eat very little, but we'll worth it. I would have loved to have eaten the whole slice but knew I couldn't. So far so good. Just full.
  24. @@thbrown223 I'm 9 days out and started with 5 min of walking a day until I see her again which is Thursday. I had a hernia repair and my gallbladder removed. I know I struggle with getting in protein and fluids. Yesterday was a bad day for that. Today I've increased my fluid and will have to add a protien shake. I can usually choke down half of the shake.
