  1. Oh my goodness, YES!!! I am 2 weeks post op and have always struggled on that left side Tried to get off the pain med as I was walking every day, not a lot but a little. Eventually decided I still needed pain med. a day before my first follow up, a new pain developed where it hurt to breathe and sit. Also to laugh. Bought a binder for tummy and this helped. My doc appointment was rough. I cried the whole way through. I had kind of an emotional breakdown of sorts. Anyhow, they increased pain med strength and I now have a better hold on it. Wear binder all of the time pretty much. Back to walking. I am so glad this topic was posted because I for sure thought there was something really wrong w me????????.

  5. Hello all. Need some input. I have found myself at times drinking a little much at a time or too quickly. My tummy is making all sorts of strange noises. Any input on this?

  13. 7 months ago, I remember thinking how will I make it 6 more months. It's going to go so slow. I am so uncomfortable and life, unfortunately, has become a chore at times. Well my day is tomorrow. The day that I have chosen to live by becoming healthier, happier, and loving life again. The journey starts, the truly hard work begins, BRING IT ON!!!!!!

  19. Hi everyone! My surgery is on Nov 6! Went for pre op on Tuesday and went well. Didn't think this day would ever get here. Ready to start day 3 of liquids. Getting a tiny bit easier????. I am from Kansas. Would love to keep in touch with as many of you as possible for support! I recently started some on line journaling which has been very therapeutic for me. Good luck all!!
  20. Hi Cassie! How is pre op diet going?
  21. Hello all. So tomorrow is my pre op--yay!!! This is also when my 10 day diet starts. I decided to be ambitious and do a "trial run" today. Yikes. I work with small children, have been struggling with illness, and felt like I was going to crawl out of my skin by mid day. I know if I put my mind to it I will do it. But man, does your body begin to get used to it after a couple of days? Any tips? I got all my fluids in, just struggled with fuzzy thinking, no energy, etc... This too will pass????
