  1. I know some people are going to slam me but I put a tsp of nestle quick powder in mine and it does a good job of masking. I know after surgery, I will not put the nestle because of the sugar but pre-op it is good. I also put the unflavored mix in egg drop soup and in my chicken broth and didn't taste it at all.
  2. Go to AL anon it is a place for loved ones or family members of alcoholics or addicts. Just attend for a little while and I think it will help you and him immensely.
  3. That, to me, is abuse! At that size, the person is disabled and for an enabler to keep providing unhealthy amounts of food after knowing it is bad, is abuse and adult protective services should be called in to remove the person.. But that is just my opinion.
  4. I was scheduled for the 26th of October, but they called today and moved it up to the 19th. I start liquid diet tomorrow. Wow this is happening pretty fast. Tyler, TX here
  5. Oh, I pray he gets some help. It is so sad to see someone struggle like that.. I will say a prayer for him.
  6. Good luck and please let us know. I can't imagine the stress you must be under over this.

  8. If your sister's surgery was so successful, losing 80 lbs, I wonder why she would be so rude about it? Has she gained any of the weight back? It has worked for her, so why wouldn't she think it would for you? I bet it is a bit of jealousy.
  9. I tried to respond to you but I don't think I did it right. I am trying to get used to the way things work here. I am so glad to have someone to talk to about this because I know my hubby is tired of hearing all the ideas and thoughts I have on this lol. It is a huge decision and I am spending a lot of time reading up on it and trying to make sure that I know what I should expect. Five weeks seems like forever..
  10. I'm so glad to have someone to relate with thru this. I don't know about you, but I have been obsessing about it and driving my husband crazy, so it is great to have people who understand it.
  11. I am having mine done Oct 26 and it seems like forever. Congratulations on losing the four and I am sure you will do well getting off the rest.
  12. Does anyone know if it means that insurance has given the go ahead if they have scheduled my wls for Oct 26? I guess I am just paranoid that something could go wrong. Lol
