Hi, tricare has to deny somebody, I guess they do not want it to appear they will approve everybody the first time. I would definitely appeal it, they will approve in the appeal. I used to work with them.

Hi, I found out that if you read your textbook and all the assignments given prior to a major paper, you will get an A. I am in college now to become a educator/administrator and I have so far gotten all A's on my wiritings. I just finshed a five page minimum sociology paper, I had to outline the whole chapter and give many references. I ended up with 7 pages. My english teacher last quarter, no matter what, if you did everything it seem like you still was not going to get an A out of her class, all my writings were A's, but I did end with a 92, barely and A, she was something.

First of all, I am a Chrisitian and I am excited to be one. Giving honor unto to God and my Lord and Master Jesus Christ. Many quote scriptures from the bible, but reading the bible is not the only thing that a Christian is supposed to do. We must be living epistles, read of men. Yes, read the bible, but most people read me. I stay humble in that aspect. Secondly, protest is the way of America, we have the right to protest whatever we feel that is not right. Some have protested against the war; however, my husband has been in the military for 23 years and he was proud to serve his country. He could have gotten out of going to war because he is the only son in his family. I am not saying that I agree with everything about this war, but when my husband had courage, it gave me courage. To God be the glory, he made it home in one piece and that is my prayer for every soldier. Thirdly, as a parent, I can choose whatever movie I want my children to see. Golden Compass happens to be one of them I really do not care to see nor my children, and not just that movie, there are many TV shows that I do not agree with either. That is my preference as a parent. It is the duty of parents to protect their children from anything that seems like a threat to them. I tell you, our children are going through enough and do not need any extra help from television or movies. TV as a whole is limited to my children. I am a Christian, but I am also a parent. Lets not get being a Christian mixed up with being a parent. I am protective of my children. I am heavily involved with being an advocate for my children and others. To add there are many parents who are not Chrisitian that are against movies like Harry Potter and other ones because they are parents. I feel some things parents rant and rave about is far fetch sometimes, but I can see where they are coming from when they bring up their children. Children softens my heart, even if I think somehting is okay, I think of children and then I say okay, I agree. I do not fear this movie at all, I know what I believe and in whom I believe. I have trained my children well, they tell me when they think a movie is not right. This movie will not have any affect on them, they don;t like it. I wanted to see some movies for for myself to check it out for them, but they corrected me.

Hi, it should be sooner than that, most referrals usually take 24-48 hours, my consultation referral took a couple of hours, my actual surgery approval took 2 1/2 days. They probably can take up to 3 weeks, but I have never seen it take that long. You can check you referral online, create a user name and password. It will show you the entered referral as well as whether it is approved or pending. Have you chosen a surgeon you would like to see?

Hi, I am two weeks post op, had my appointment today. I lost 16 pounds in 2 weeks. Shooting for more, I am on full liquids. Will start going to the gym next week.

I was banded on the 14th and I had my 2 week appointment today, they removed the bandages. The port bandage they left partially closed, still kinda tender there. I lost 16 poinds in 2 weeks, pre-op I lost 14 pounds, altogether 30lbs. I feel great, I can only eat or drink about 1 cup of food every 4-5 hours. No fill until another month. I eat or consume about 500- 700 calories, my Doc said that is where he wants me, unitil Iget the weight off. I thought I should at least eat 1000 calories, it is not healthy to me that low. How many calories is considered normal with the band? I am going to stick to what the doc said, but just for future reference.

I would call tricare and tell them they are charging an administrative fee, and I would ask them if this is acceptable? I do not think they will be to pleased to hear that if he is a participating provider.

Hi, I don't think you are border line either, you may fit the 200% qualification, which is automatically approved. I would get a little more stern with the docs, speak up a little stronger. I would tell them that I know you do not think I should have this done but I need this done, I need to do this for myself. I am asking you as my doctor to help me get healthier because I have tried everything at this point.

Hi, what amazes me is that I sound so much like my Mom. I completely understand all the heated discussions from her. My mom was strict and I thank God for her. I honor her all the time, but Mother's Day I will get a chance to say thanks again in my own special way. .

Hi, "spanking often" works for some children, not all. I am on the local school council as a parent in my school district. For example, my daughter was named student of the month because, #1 she loves God, #2 she is well behaved at school because she understands what is expected, not by just spanking, but by talking to her as well. She made honor roll last year and all this year. I can count the times I had to discuss her behavior at school. The pushing incident is totally not her character, if she had push someone more than once, I probably would have spanked her, but she told me, the teacher did not address it. My son, on the other hand gets a few more swats than my daughter. With him I have to really use all strategies and he made the student of the week at the beginning of this year. I had to work with him and now he is okay, kindergarten. It is hard work as a mother, but someone has to do it. I think all things need to be applied to raise a well balanced child. What works for one does not always work for the other. I was rarely spanked (but I was spanked) as a child because I obeyed/respected my mother, on the other hand, my brothers used to get a lot of whoopings. Every child is different. That's my take. I volunteer in the schools and I am going to college now majoring in ECE because I love cihildren, but children do need discipline. My friend makes her children do push ups and sit ups when they are wrong, until they start crying, different form of discipline, but it works for her children. I come from a generation of teachers and I appreciate everything that they taught me.

Hi, it is should be fully covered if your surgeon is a tricare participating provider. Mine was, so I did not have to pay anything, only for nutrition eval. I would double check this doctor with Tricare. If he is a participating provider; then he can only charge Tricare the contractual agreement amount. That is it. Call tricare and ask about your cost share.

BJean It is okay to defend your argument, but to add to what I said, "all women" is adding to my very brief comment. I just stated what I believe, that is my choice. The comment I made had nothing to do with this "hoax" discussion or at least I was not referring to it.

Hi, is this Humana Tricare or regular Humana? Humana Tricare does not require a six month physcian diet plan. They quoted you the wrong information. If you are border line and fall below the charts you will not be approved. Tricare goes strictly by the Metropolitan life chart. No supervised diet is needed. I would call them and speak to a supervisor.

BJEAN, I never directed anything toward all women, I said some, you are just stirring up strife. Believe it or not there are some women who do use it as a form of birth control. The statistics we will have to research that; but I have overheard and talked to some women who have said they have had several abortions. I will said it again, Abortion is not to be used as a form of birth control. Otherwise I fear that you're citing propaganda that the very biased anti-choice likes to toss about to make people think that most women who get abortions are promiscuous ignorant whores. I never called anyone a name, I would not even began to speak those words toward any woman out of my mouth because every woman no matter what she has done is still a woman to me. I am against taking any life. I believe you can have a choice based on certain circumstances; however, do not use it as a form of birth control. There are some that go out carelessly and get pregnant and then go have about 8 abortions when they could have thought about before hand.

Hi, spanking does not make a child violent unless the parent spanks them vilolently. My children are not fighters at all, but they do love each other. I spank them sometimes, which is rare, I talk most of the time. I believe that talking helps most of the time. However, I will not codemn anyone who does spank their children more often than I do. There are kids who are not disciplined/spanked who are doing criminal things at very young ages. I work in the school system so I have seen it from both sides. When my child pushed another child it was because we had constantly talked to her about standing up for herself because she does not like fighting whether physically or verbally. However, I made sure I thoroughly explained to her that we do not push anyone, regardless of what they say; you can say don't talk about my brother, but that's it.

I really had to limit my time with the kids the first week of post-op because they just argue and fight like something else. My husband dealt with the kids all last week because I would have not been Mrs. NIce mommy this week. They are 10 and 5 and one is a drama queen and the other is a intellectual. The two don't mix.

Hi, I was banded on the 14th, still dealing with gas a little. I am now getting hungry, not like I can really eat anything other than full liquids without pain, but I desire to eat more. I just want some veggies, some collard greens, green beans, nothing big. I will be on mushy foods next week and then real foods after that. I am tired of soft cold stuff, I want some hot food. Waaah!

Hi, Champ/Va will have a cost share. I am prime but I worked in health admin for a while. Approval should be quick and about the same as Tricare except you will have some cost.
