  2. I think a lot of us suffer from hypothyroid. I've had it for thirty years. Three weeks post op they had to reduce my sythroid.
  3. Today that first digit on the scale was a one! yay!! Now I can say I weigh a hundred and plenty!
  4. @@LipstickLady I'm gonna print this out and put it in my folder to read when I'm feeling discouraged. Great words of wisdom! xxoo
  5. I have Anthem Blue Cross. My BMI was just under 34. I had sleep apnea and bad knees so that I "needed" to take painkillers. I had a hernia too. No wait period. I was approved with no problems.
  6. Just one day for me, then protein drinks.
  7. @@Inner Surfer Girl What is a PCP? My surgeon's only recommendations is an hour and a half away (not a lot of support there).
  8. My surgeon has no nutritionist and I really need some help. I have googled but can't seem to find one. Any suggestions?
  9. I don't understand... Eat pizza, wear ankle weights! Don't give up!
  10. I wear the patch vitamins, others are just too hard on my stomach. http://www.patchmd.com/
  11. @lectus http://www.patchmd.com/ link to patch Vitamins.
  12. @@lectus Why don't you try the PatchMD vitamins? They are working great for me. Just put a new patch on everyday.
  13. @@RobinGee I am using the MDPatch vitamins! Have you tried them? They are very comfortable and I hear they are working great with getting the levels up as shown in blood tests.
  14. I am using the Vitamin Patches. They are great! MDPatch. I think you can get 40% off with a coupon code (search google). I'm using Multivitamin, B12, and Glucosamine. They are very soft and light.@@SeahawksFan http://www.patchmd.com/
  15. @@RobinGee I've been using the mdpatch vitamins. They are just little patches you put on your skin everyday.
  16. @@Elode The Syntrax is so thin compared to Premier. Am I doing something wrong?
  17. @@Angelwing99 I was on clear liquid only the first day. After that protein shakes.
  18. Miralax every night and a stool softener to get you going!
  19. I guess you need to remember why you made the decision to have the surgery. I think psychologically we build up over months the countdown to surgery and how we will be thin and healthy and all of the other wonderful benefits and finally surgery day arrives and then BOOM! It's still the same but now we've lost our food, our social eating, our favorites and we are not yet thin. That surgery day we were aiming for didn't respond the way most things we've been conditioned to look forward to (instant results). So a bit of a let down can happen, some second thoughts about the things we chose to give up because we do not yet have the reward. All that excited anticipation has been replace by... meh. Hang in there, one foot in front of the other. The reward will come.
  20. @@Fame and @@RobinGee The shakes are like concrete in my pipes! I wonder if there are differences in protein. I notice some are whey concentrate and others whey isolate and then yet another kind. I wonder if one is superior to another?
  21. Liquids for two days prior and four weeks after. Hunger is mostly at night so maybe the PPI is wearing off and it's acid. I will try taking it later in the day and see what happens.
  22. I am in Rancho Cucamonga. I don't know how much protein I should be taking in each day. I don't know if I can take a bath yet! (Don't worry I've been taking a shower). My poor husband waited for three hours and no one ever came and spoke with him after surgery. I never saw Dr. Feiz again other than for ten seconds before they wheeled me in. After that the on call dr at the hospital saw me. I have no NUT I had np pre surgery counseling or info. Thank God for these boards.
  23. Maybe you won't need the medication after you lose the weight.
