Yes. All those problems. All have resolved. Thank God.

We didn't gain the weight in six months. Relax and focus on things important in life. Pray, walk, smile. Some people die before ever getting to where we are in life, and I am so happy, even at almost, almost 70 years old. I look at my precious husband, the first time in his life being not fat but NORMAL, and the wait was worth it. God bless.

My husband and I stayed on liquids and soup Ed, a little longer than you. He especially sipped a lot of broth, and even 2 1/2 years later loves his broth. I remember six weeks post op eating a small piece of soft chicken and choking on it. My thought would be don't rush the solid foods but your surgeon may be different from ours. Refried beans were my favorite, with a little taco sauce. Good luck!

Sorry to hear you had such a bad time of it, and I know it was scary. We were given extensive manuals telling us what to eat and at what stage. Were you given anything? I remember about two months out I could eat soft chicken, but I ate too big a bite and had a scare. I remember being scared to eat salad, then was told to get those salads going! Never had a problem after that. I loved refried beans with a little taco sauce. Now we can eat anything to a degree, and I almost wish I could go back to the days of good restriction where broth And a half shake satisfied me. Good luck on your recovery!

Yes, very very normal. Funny how all of us who experienced these strange noises and shoulder pain from gas get to re-live it with these posts daily. And smile! My husband and I were sleeved together so the noises we got to enjoy as a pair.

I have taken two Tylenol in my life and drinking is hardly on the menu. The physician said a Tramadol is much better than Tylenol due to liver failure complications.

At 67, November 2013, I spent about 8 hours in the hospital, was shopping two days later, and walked a slow mile five days later in the mall. Went to brunch a after the sleeve in December, sipped bisque with a dear sick friend. I have shopped more in the past three years than I did the past 10 years. I will be 70 this year, and gout was my only crisis for five hard months. My husband and I have walked many beaches, cruised for seven days, drove across the U.S. and life has changed drastically. I would not change a thing and would do the sleeve again. Asthma, diabetes, HBP, neuropathy, our health has been so much better. I thank God for this surgery.

Glad you are okay. I have a wonderful surgeon but found I could not get past his nurse when I had a scary situation. Make sure you have a good primary doctor for backup, and when in doubt get to that ER. Infection is nothing to play with, and Sepsis is deadly. Most of us will never have a problem, but it is important to share when we do.

I am sipping honey, lemon juice and a teaspoon of whiskey as I sit here, for bronchitis and head cold. I recently broke my foot, and the podiatrist said take no Tylenol, it causes liver failure! Everything will kill us these days! I am also sipping Chai hot tea with lemon. Due to asthma, I have my nebulizer and getting ready to use it. I seriously think hot soup, honey with lemon juice, and bed rest is the ultimate cure. I hope you feel better.

From posts I have read for almost three years, most everyone had hernias. I would say two days after the sleeve I could have returned to work if I had to. I Don't think it caused extra pain or discomfort at all since we took no pain pills at home. My husband has had two more hernias and surgery since the sleeve. The laparoscopic one was no problem but the inguinal required surgery and a painful recovery.

Crystal Light powder and Torani Sugar Free Syruos can change that milky taste of the shakes. Good luck.

It is not as if we have control of it. I felt it wouldn't happen to me until disaster set in. I did everything right. Including buying a fabulous wig, just in case, which turned into Thank God.

Walked a huge mall five days after the sleeve. No reason to lie in bed. Just felt great! Still cannot run lol!

Our primary care internist has been our lifesaver as far as watching our labs, the surgeon not so much. I am low in Thamine and taking injections three to four months. I am taking many supplements.

The over the counter probiotics work well.

Your life matters much more than the way your boobies look, or your weight. God bless!

Trust me you will soon be eating anything you want to so enjoy the restrictions now. Since the sleeve 2 1/2 years ago I have learned not to be tempted. No bread, cookies, crackers, pasta, or sweets in my house. You will still have the urge to sample taste believe me. There are days I am thankful not having bread because I crave it in my mind. I allow myself Mac and Cheese at Thanksgiving or Christmas because it slides on down. Mashed potatoes not allowed. It is so easy to slip back, no matter what you think now. Still struggling because retirement is like being on vacation all your life, and traveling and eating out constantly is a challenge.

I do not know when you had WLS. I used to love an occasional beer but not any more. Wine is smooth and gives me heartburn. Margaritas made me gain weight.
