  1. So far so good! I'm barely using the pain meds and liquids are going down fine. Slow and steady!!!! Hoping every one has as easy a time as I am having!!!! Hugs!!
  2. Did you find you gained weight when you first came home from the hospital? I got on the scale last night and weigh 13lbs more than when I went in!!
  3. So far so good! Not using the pain meds much as they make me groggy and constipated. But so far, I'm pretty happy with this experience. Good luck!!!
  4. Thanks everyone!!! I appreciate your comments. Just got home from the hospital yesterday and doing pretty good so far. Best to all!!!
  5. Hi there!! All went really well! Got home yesterday, sipping Water and shakes and doing really great! The pain is very manageable so I'm not using the pain meds as much but it was hard to find a pharmacy that had the pain med in liquid form. If you can, have it filled at the hospital pharmacy. Cvs called 8 other CVSs for me and they finally broke down and called a Rote Aide that had it! ????. There are only two other things that bother me: the fact that I'm 13lbs heavier than when I went in the hospital and that my hands and legs are so swollen. But I'm told that both issues will remedy themselves in the next few days. When is your surgery? Are you doing a revision also? Good luck! Best regards, Crash!
  6. Does anyone ride a motorcycle? I have a 2013 Triumph America - about 600+ lbs. How soon can I get back to riding? I ride every day to and from work, and 6+ hours on weekends. Just wondering because my doctor gave a real vague answer. Thanks!
  7. I had drainage tubes, 3 of them, with a different surgery a few years ago. Actually went home with two of them. Once they are removed, any additional Fluid inside is just reabsorbed by the body. The only reason for the tube is to get ride of the excess fluids. When they start to slow down to a trickle, then you're gonna be fine! Good luck!! Fortunate for me, my doctor does not use drainage tubes. I have my surgery tomorrow.
  8. Having my revisions, band to sleeve tomorrow. Very nervous and anxious. My fiance is freaking out too!! Pre-op diet has been ok, shrink the liver and all that, and BONUS - lost 10 lbs. We'll see how I feel Thursday, but I feel confident that I'm doing the right thing for me. Didn't know the band had a shelf life! Had mine done in 2006. Lost 50lbs, but gained it all due to "unfills" from obstructions. Hoping there is no internal issues when they get in there to take it out. Port hurts a lot most of the time. Will be very glad to get rid of that!! Hugs to all!
  9. HI! Having my Revisions surgery, band to sleeve September 2, 2015 in Boston, but I live in Northern RI. Anyone in my area going through this or has recently gone through it? Looking for someone for support and to be supportive to. Thanks and good luck to you!
  10. My surgery is scheduled 9/2/15, band removal and sleeve. I'm excited, anxious and scared to death! Thanks to everyone for their writings. Reading about it all and knowing I'm not alone really helps! THanks!
  11. Having my revision surgery 9/2. Can someone explain about the gas pains please? Is it due to the surgery or something else, and does it go away? How about heartburn? Any issues with that? Thanks and good luck to everyone!!
  12. Revision surgery 9/2/15 at the Brigham. Lap Band to Sleeve. Very anxious and nervous.....
